This is what I hate about the QB Rating system: one play can make an average/shitty game look like a GREAT performance. Without that miracle (which should have been a pick), Orton's rating would be 72.8. Were that picked off, his rating would be worse than Carson Palmer's. Talk about numbers lying.

If you have hopes for miracle TDs out of what should be INTs in games where it looks like a baseball score, I'd stay in that dream world. Orton shouldn't even be credited with at TD. That should be an assist by Leon Hall, if anything.

Also, notice the no INTs thrown by Orton. Looks of would've and could've statements from you. Palmer played like shit, it's not like he had a better game than Orton. If anything it's our special teams and running game that left Cincy in the game.
Well, I'm not really defending Cincy. Just noting how overblown Orton's statistics are because of that play. The play wasn't even completed by the intended receiver and it just happened to fall into Stokley's hands because of Cincy's defense, not Orton's ability.

I don't think anyone (maybe panda) was crowning Orton as having a great performance.

Regardless, Cincy's secondary sucks, and they showed it on the touchdown.

So, do you agree that Crapson Palmer is one of the most underachieving quarterbacks in the NFL today?

                  Perhaps, even slightly overrated?

I have said this for years, the quarterback rating stat is fucking awful and rewards those lucky quarterbacks that play in warm weatheror domes and west coast dink and dunk offenses. Stupid stat.

                      love your sig, Goblin

but yea, Orton was shit to start, he was like 1/4 for 8 yds at one point early, but the D looked pretty solid, Dawkins and Smith made their presence known

Of course I'm disappointed in Carson Palmer. He should be a Top 5 QB and he has played far under that.

Too many coulda, woulda shouldas. Maybe they should figure out a way to include "shoulda been intercepted" passes into the QB formula. Hopefully they get "shoulda been caught but the receiver dropped its" in there too.

The result of the play and the game is something I could care less about. Brandon Stokley made a GREAT play. The play itself was great. However, Orton shouldn't be credited for a TD.

Should QBs be credited for interceptions when they throw good passes that their wideouts tip to defenders?

Nope. I know it's the ruling, but I don't agree with it.
