Can you please chill out man? We all know that Steve Smith is good, and we all know that you are seriously in love with him. It doesn't have to be in every single post. Smith is good but at times you're a complete homer.

I don't like that list much; I think you should base your list off of a combination of stats, play making ability, the team around him and the ability to make his team better. With all that said, I would rank receivers a little differently.

                1. Steve Smith
                2. Anquan Boldin
                3. Andre Johnson
                4. Larry Fitz
                5. Randy Moss
                6. Reggie Wayne
                8. Chad "OchoCinco" Johnson
                9. Greg Jennings
                10. Santanna Moss
                11. Plax
                12. Lee Evans
                13. Hines Ward
                14. T.O.
                15. Braylon Edwards
                16. L. Coles
                17. Calvin Johnson
                18. Brandon Marshall
                19. Derrick Mason
                20. T.J. Houshmanzadeh
(Honorable Mention: Dwayne Bowe, Roy Williams and Torry Holt)

If you wanna talk about the total package of route running and YAC combination, then the answer is Reggie Wayne. He is so fundamentally sound. And he isn't outspoken, which is an underlying reason why he's not in this conversation. Like Marvin Harrison used to, Reggie just goes out there and produces. He doesn't have to do an extracurriculars to be noticed by true football fans. While his statistics are just barely worse than those of T.O.'s, his off-field personality is a big enough tradeoff for that .4 YPC he loses to T.O.

That being said, I think Larry Fitzgerald rivals Reggie Wayne and will easily surpass him in years to come.

Take a look at what my fantasy receivers are, and imagine if they would just play to their normal averages.

                    1. Larry Fitzgerald
                    2. Chad Johnson
                    3. Torry Holt

                    Bench:
                    1. Rashied Davis (#1 WR on Chicago)
                    2. Kevin Walter (been starting him lately)
                    3. Vincent Jackson (been producing, but I'm hesitant to start, becase when I do sub him in, watch Torry Holt explode like we know he will)

So basically my dilemma is this. I got 3 of the best receiving names in the NFL, and I have 3 of the underdog producers at WR in the first half of the season. What do I do? I can win games ALONE off my WRs if Chad, Torry, and Larry do their thing. But I've won a ton of nailbiters because Torry and Chad aren't ripping down TDs like last year.

Don't see how you guys can put Boldin > Fitz

Fitz is their #1 and gets the #1 CB every game. Boldin is great, but he's not better than Fitzgerald.

Right now at this point in their career.

                        1. Randy Moss (when he has a good QB)
                        2. Steve Smith
                        3. Andre Johnson
                        4. Brandon Marshall (will be the best for many years in the near future)

What are you guys basing your lists on?

The way I look at it, it's if I had my choice of any WR in the NFL, who would I want on my team?

You can't dock a guy for having bad stats or playing against bad opponents, just in terms of raw skill, who is the best. That doesn't mean a player with good stats is bad, or a player with bad stats is good. But if every player was a free agent, who would you pick up?

                            1) Steve Smith - The guy is a gamer. He brings it week after week. He'll catch a 60 yard bomb, and run for 80 on a screen. I remember a game last year when Carolina was down by like 20 with very little time left, and Smith caught a routine drag pass, broke about 4 tackles all at once and took it to the house. This is a guy I want on my team.. he just never quits.

                            2) Andre Johnson - Just a freak. Size, hands, speed. Houston QBs are actually taught to throw him the ball every time it's single coverage. Another player who just isn't satisfied with making the catch. He wants to score every time he gets the ball.

                            3) Brandon Marshall - He is what I believe is to be the new breed of WRs in the NFL. Cornerbacks are getting more and more athletic, so a great counter is a big, physical guy like Marshall who can jump up and catch the ball, and then just break your tackle.

Honorable mention -- Calvin Johnson (a lot like Andre Johnson), Randy Moss (another big guy with great hands), Hines Ward (insanely underrated for what he does outside of catching the football), and Anquan Boldin (just like Marshall, these guys are the new breed).

the one where he broke like 5 tackles that was against houston.......sick shit....

don't forget andre had a field day against our d

well when i state the obvious i get call a homer.....so that's what i base my list on,when you go to nfl.com and look up leaders who's number 1......nuff said

I don't understand how Randy Moss is not #1 on everyone's list. Unless guy's are looking at it as long term then of course his age is concern but I look at this if I could grab one guy right now and put him on my team it is Randy Moss.

You MUST double team this guy or he will just rip you a new one. As long as you have yourself a decent QB. Look what he did when Daunte was in Minnesota, look what he did with Brady. The guy is unstoppable. Didn't he set the td record last year?
