Discussing games in 1 big ass thread is retarded. You can't even have a solid conversation about something in there. If I respond to someone and leave for a second, I don't want to come back and have to search 5 pages back to see what he said..lol.

Least it would make 5 pages
If it's a really popular game it would get it's own thread anyways

I think the point is... no one aside from me and maybe the 3 Ram fans.. care about this game. It's not thread worthy.
Tennessee - Pittsburgh? Totally thread worthy. Favre's first game? Thread worthy. This one? Not. Not unless it turns into a 41-38 OT classic or something.
If you want a game-by-game thread thing.. maybe make a separate forum for it. Otherwise you have 16 threads cluttering up the rest of the forum.
Just my two cents though.

16 threads (or less with bye weeks) isn't cluttering up the forum.
At most it would be 16 threads out of 45.
It isn't too hard to just let the un-used threads fall to the bottom. I honestly believe all of them will be used. It isn't just for "during the game". If something happens like Mark Bulger takes a huge dump on the field, of course everybody will flock to it and post about it.
Since I started posting on forums, I've never seen a 1 thread for all of the NFL games. Once we get things situated, we may be putting these in a sub-forum depending how this trial run goes.

I just don't understand why we can't let people do these themselves. You have a big weekly discussion thread for little things and little games, and big games will have threads that people will create for discussion.
