However, the momentum switched when Logan was stripped (I think it was a bs call, he should have had the whistle blown) and the Steelers defense started playing "prevent". They stopped going after the quarterback, that is what allowed the Chargers to come back. But lets look at the other 2 games that we lost, hell even the 1st game of the season in which we won. They all have one thing in common, our fucking running game sucked. This team tried to rely on Bens arm WAY too much. 1st Game, 43 attempts. 2nd Game, 35 attempts. 3rd Game 31 attempts, 4th Game 33 attempts, the 33 attempts in the last game put up 38 points, because of a balanced attack. But the running game is why the Steelers are struggling. In the first 3 games, the Steelers total net gain was 293, but in last nights game we ran for 177 net yards which is over half of what we've ran for in 3 games. Not to mention we averaged 4.9 yards per rush and ran the ball 36 times. That is 8 more times than we ran the ball last week and 14 more times than week 1.

So be arrogant, but you really shouldn't be because you really don't have a clue. Oh and to say last night proved your point about our defense, a defense that gave up only 250 total yards? And only 16 net yards on the ground.. you're right about one thing though, our defense isn't as good without Troy because he's the best safety in the NFL of course there is going to be a drop off, but it's still the same blitzing defense that has caused havoc throughout the years.
Nice argument about relying on Bens arm way too much. The Steelers had a balanced attack because they could actually run the ball. They had no balance in the first three games because every time they ran the ball they gained only 1 or 2 yards. Its not like the Steelers just got together before the Chargers game and said "Ok...this game lets run the ball 36 times and average 5 yards per carry". Sheesh.

The defense hasn't been playing poorly this year, but they haven't made any big plays. They don't get any turnovers, and they only get a couple sacks. Last year, they'd have 3 turnovers and 7 sacks nearly every game. Also, they blew the Bears game late and they almost blew the Chargers game late. Not a good sign.

I didn't mean it like that. I said that the Steelers offense was one of the reasons the Steelers have struggled. They couldn't be balanced BECAUSE our run game was poor. I hope that was better for you.

          Dumbass.

I said the Steelers offense would be fine, because they could move the ball, but failed to capatalize in the redzone.

          WHAT HAPPENED EXACTLY????

For the people quick to say, because we had a run game, check out the Bengals game -- Parker was having a very productive ground game, but we failed to get it together in the redzone.

Then the defense blew the lead against the Bengals.

Again the Steelers D shat the bed in the 4th quarter, giving up 21 points in the final quarter. I know we fumbled it back for a TD, thanks for stating the obvious, but Rivers went on fire in the final quarter and actually made the game very close because of it. You talk about us and how we stopped blitzing, you dumbass, LaBeau is the d-coordinator, aka part of our defense and how it's ran.

We're not looking at the first game of the year, Polamalu was in a half, although MINUTE HE GOES OUT WE GIVE UP A TD RIGHT AWAYYYY.

Of course a run game helps an offense, I didn't think anyone needed to explain that. But as you can see, I made a post about this after the Bengals game, where I talked about our D laying the fuck down in the 4th, WHICH THEY DID AGAIN. And because we couldn't convert in the redzone, WHICH WE DID.

          Morons.

I don't know what your view is on productive running, but I don't feel that Parker was having one of those days. I think he ran for 95 yards, which is better than what we did in the previous games, but he failed to gain consistent yards in clutch situations because our line was not firing off the ball and thus causing the offense to not convert.

I hate that you think you're always right and you don't take into views of other people. It's pathetic that you think that your views are the only correct opinions. I never once said our defense didn't shit the bed a couple of times, because they have. Have they been terrible and our downfall to the start of the season? Fuck no. They held a top 10 quarterback in check for 3 quarters until the momentum swung in favor of the Chargers. In the Bears game, they didn't shit the bed at all, that was all Jeff Reed and in the Titans game (2nd Half) they stopped the Titans from taking advantage of the Ward fumble. The Cincy game HAS to be on the offense. When you have the lead and you can RUN the ball effectively and run that clock down, you win the game. The Defense gave up a score, you're correct but they held tough the other 3 quarters and shouldn't have had to be on the field at the end of the game like that because we should have been taking a knee. You are also forgetting the fact that the Bungals actually showed up and played well in that final drive, so saying the defense "sucks" without Troy is just stupid. Are they as good without Troy? No, but are the Ravens even a top 10 defense without Ed Reed or Ray Lewis? That could be argued. The Steelers, without Troy are still a top 5 defense in the NFL. With Troy, they are number 1.

what really gets lost in all the useless and incorrect shit that that fag korntard spews is that the defense gets tired and does give up points when the offense keeps going 3 and out all the time.

Lets look at the possessions in the 2nd half of the Steelers-Chargers game.

                        3Q

                        Steelers - 8 plays, 81 yards, TD

Chargers - 13 plays, 79 yards, TD (I guess the Steeler D was tired?)

Steelers - 7 plays then punt

                        4Q

Chargers - score TD off of punt fumble (Steeler D not even on field)

                        Steelers - 8 plays, 70 yards, TD

Chargers - 4 plays, 67 yards TD (I guess the Steeler D was tired?)

Chargers - recover onside kick, 3 plays, 46 yards, TD (I guess the Steeler D was tired from having already been on the field for 4 plays in the last 14 minutes of playing time)

                        Steelers - 10 plays, 59 yards, FG

So, as usual, you have no idea what you are talking about. I don't see a single 3 and out by the Steelers offense.

I never said "the steelers could cover gates, and the special teams made no mistakes", so your point is irrelevant.

You said that the Steelers defense was tired because the offense kept going 3 and out. Against San Diego, that OBVIOUSLY wasn't the case. Its amazing that you could even form such a condescending response after being proven wrong (yet again).

you fail yet again. and i believe you have the sequence wrong on the drives...

the defense forced a punt, which was stripped from logan and run in for a td. then the suprise onside came, and they scored on that drive. so that would put the d on the field back to back instead of a drive by the steelers offense in between.

you are a classic moron and a troll, and abad one at that. you're act is old and you're jokes are stale, please just fuck off and die, for the good of everyone.
