Lmao so the browns gave us Edwards and sanchez for a bunch of role players and mid to lower round picks bwhaha

trusnik though was a special teams ace and sticker was no more than a slot guy right now...maybe more of a #4 WR. Great trade

btw, Anderson was able to get him the ball....did we forget about 2007? last year edwards was a joke and dropped more balls then anyone. Of course the team was also a joke. But why was DA able to get the ball to Massiqui and not edwards.....maybe its cause of edwards
Where did I say he was the 2nd coming?

Sanchez to Edwards is going to be scary. They already have a scary defense. Now they have a legit #1 WR to compliment Sanchez.

I hope this backfires but I'm not sure how it will. Great move by the Jests.
For the time being, Cotchery/Keller will benefit from this until Edwards gets into this offense. I suspect he'll dress for us monday night but won't be much of a factor, except he'll be out there and you guys will have to keep an eye out for him.

so seeing as Crabtree also got signed today does this make the tampering rumors more legitimate?

dude still has to learn a new offense, when a WR gets traded midseason they usually dont put up stellar numbers for the rest of the season

Edwards was a bust. Then had one good year. Now is a bust again.

I thought Jerricho is good enough for the Jets, i dont think Edwards is gonna improve them that much.

EDIT: Hmm...seems I should read the other posts, so as not to write the same fucking thing as someone else. Oh well...it's still true.

I think Browns win with this trade!
Not necessarily. Since the owners opted out of the CBA the free agency rules change. If no agreement is made between the league and the union, then 2010 is an uncapped year and players are not permitted to become a unrestriced free agent until 6 years of service. Braylone will only have 5 full years of service after this season.

Basically the Jets can hold Braylon hostage and can match any offer he would receive in restricted free agency. 2010 is looking like an uncapped year and once the cap goes away...it will likely never come back. Smart move for both teams really. Strategically the Jets position themselves to get another year of service out of Braylon to see what he can do before making a committment and the Browns get additional picks, a decent receiver and another linebacker with some potential.
