    It's complicated to explain.

Some people watch their team, I live through my team.
I used to be crazy, and get all down when the team did poorly. I've decided over the years that that's a stupid way to act, as you can't control how the team does, so why get all worked up and depressed when they don't win?

I'm upset when they lose, but I get over it pretty quick and pay attention to my actual life.

Sports are just that deep for me? I'm usually over it a couple hours later, like you said. Life goes on.

I forgive you for your crass behavior. I am still correct compared to your novice, foul assessment.

your ability to discern anything has proven quite lacking. I do not fail in any way ,shape, or form. Man o' man, you are one bizarre, insulting Internet stranger, control freak. Kingoffootball is a much more interesting topic starter and read. Your GBu is kind of basic and not really interesting enough for an insider look at football stuff. This is free time. You need to shorten it and make it more poignant. But, hey, I know this is where you try to have your sportsfan fun stuff, so thats o k. : )

Steven Jackson is a "slightly higher than mediocre player"?

Are you confusing him with the basketball player?

Apparently ram29jackson is actually a reference to Harold Jackson. I just figured it was an Eric Dickerson/Steven Jackson combo gimmick.

Where are we having a disconnect here?

I have no problem with my teams fan base getting bigger through success. I probably wouldn't be a baseball fan if it wasn't for the Indians in the 90's.

My comments are more aimed towards fans, friends, and family. Who dogged the Cavaliers/Browns/Indians through the years and when they finally get good, start supporting them like they've been along for the whole ride.

I'm talking about the fans who don't give a shit which way the wind blows, until it starts blowing in the successful direction. The fair-weather fans are the ones my comments are aimed at. You can be a fan of whoever you want, whenever you want. Don't not support the team when the times are bad, and then support the team when times are good.

Up until 2003 a lot of "fans" were more concerned with dogging the Cavaliers then supporting them. Enter the King and instant success? Everyone starts changing their tune. That's the stuff I can't stand. Don't dog a team when it's down and support it when it's beneficial to be a fan, for the sake of "bragging rights".

thats all being a fan is about in the first place = bragging rights.
