I want Tuberville to be our offensive coordinator/play caller/decision maker. Let Tressel be the head coach/team manager but make Tuberville call the shots. Idc if we have to pay Tuberville more than we are paying Tressel.

Either way, the guys on ESPN just blasted Tressel because he is changing his style (tough defense, running game, and play action) and losing more games because of it.

This thread has brought the lulz, the problem is. You guys are dead serious.

            Top 25:

To say OSU needs to drop out of the Top 25, is laughable. They need to drop no doubt, they need to fall hard but out of the Top 25? When USC lost to Washington they didn't go outside of the Top 15, did they? Ohio State doesn't have the media backing of a USC, so no they'll fall further but to go from 7th to unranked? Ridiculous.

            BCS:

We're talking about a 2 loss Ohio State. BCS dreams are not gone, but they're far, far away. A lot will need to happen in order for that pipe dream to become a reality. LSU sneaked in a couple years ago with a 2 loss record, yet they resided in the SEC so that's not going to happen here. Thank you to the rest of the Big Ten for sucking over the years, you're ruining it for everybody else.

            Rose Bowl:

Still a possibility. Ohio State has Minnesota, New Mexico State, Penn State, Iowa, and Michigan (in that order). Winning out is still a strong possibility. A game like the one against Purdue happens to good teams, and only happens once in a great while. No team in the Nation could've overcome the five turnovers, not even Tim Teblow. I don't care what you say. Ohio State shot themselves in the foot, and now they'll pay for it.

            Calling For Tressel's Head.

            Shut the fuck up.

Tress has brought nothing but success to already the fifth winningest program in College Football History. Back-to-Back-to-Back-to-Back Big Ten Championships (2 shared). More than enough reasons to root for this team. Look at his recruiting classes, you want to chase that out of town? Does he get out coached in the big games? No more so then a missed tackle from beating Texas, a Field Goal from USC.

Fucking Charlie Weis was considered a hero today for losing to USC by 7.

To fire the man because his team has lost 21 times in 109 games? That's a 80% winning percentage. I'm sooooo sorry he can't bring a National Championship every year. I'd much rather put up with losing a few big games (or in this case a big upset) every year then the John Cooper era. Sometimes Buckeye and College Football Fans alike need to realize not even The Ohio State University can win them all.

There is a lot of football left to play. Season is far from over. Ohio State will take this week, lick its wounds and get ready for Minnesota.

Michigan fans seeing hope for their team because Purdue beat Ohio State You'll believe anything to think that you hold a snowballs chance in hell against OSU.

He had a horrible day, yes, but I find it kind of funny that some OSU fans are calling for Pryors head already wanting him to switch to receiver...I highly doubt any other QB on the roster could do half the shit Pryor can do.

The "5-6" was a rough estimate because I didn't feel like looking up their schedule to see how many games they've played this year.
2008 (Freshman): 9-1 as starter as a true freshman

Pryor started 10 games last year. That means he was the #1 QB on the DC for 10 games.

Nobody on our staff knows how to use TP. Period. We need somebody (whether it be head coach or offensive coordinator) that knows wtf they are doing with a mobile qb.

Idk why yall are sticking up so much for Tressel, sure he is a great team manager but he has awful decision making and his play calling is fucking pathetic. He has turned into Cooper, beat all the bad teams (even tho Tressel just lost to Purdue lmfao) and lose every big game. IF we happen to winout the rest of the way this year (and thats a big IF) we will get rolled on by USC in the Rose Bowl.

yeah Pryor has plenty of starts and as a QB i haven't seen any progression if not maybe more of a regression he continues to try and throw the ball in situations instead of using his legs sort of like Troy Smiths senior year when he was trying to impress NFL scouts by showing he could be a pocket passer what has happened is that Pryor has become a liability with the football in fact someone get me the numbers but has Pryor now thrown more INT's than TD's this season. thats not even talking about his fumbles.

BCS, i dont' want to see OSU in a BCS game this year, they don't deservere it. Ok i take that back the defense does, but Pryor doesn't. And yes Bauserman would probably not be helpful, but its basically because we don't have the run game to run tressell ball, i think BUCK3YE5 has it dead to rights they are not using TP the right way, with him and Saine they need to start looking like Pat White and Steve Slaton at WVU a couple years ago, run Spread Option offese, get the DL up toward the LOS and throw the ball deep, Pryor throws a pretty deep ball but to ask him to throw the ball as much as they have been is not going to work. Unlike those calling for Tressel's head, I have faith that eventually he will figure out what he needs to do, sure he frustrates me from time to time, but then again he is 10x better than John Cooper, and better than most of the coaches out there right now.

for those old enough just remember this team is still a whole shit load better than the team we had 10 years ago this year when John Cooper and Steve BeliSORRY lead us to a wonderful 6-6 season

Right, Tressel doesn't know what he's doing with a mobile QB considering he won a national title with one (Krenzel) and a Heisman with one (Troy).

Newsflash ... when you turn the ball over 5 times it doesn't matter what you call. Hell, when your offensive line can't protect for the half second you hold a block on a screen pass you won't be successful.

To run the spread option like they do at WVU you need smaller, quicker lineman... not guys that are around 6-7 and 320 like we have.

Not to mention that would be detrimental to Pryor's development. If you didn't see any progression then I'm guessing you missed the fourth quarter... Pryor showed real talent and ability as well as leadership. I think we all remember Troy Smith's struggles as a quarterback, he was a liability as a passer and struggled with San Diego State's "Complex" (lol) defensive schemes in 2005. Pryor has almost equaled his entire passing attempts total from last season in the seven games of this season, if that shows you how much more of the offense is being thrust on his shoulders.

I hate to compare Pryor to Vince Young but the two's careers are so similar to this point that they need to be compared, VY struggled mightily as a sophomore and was shutout in his big time game agianst Oklahoma (Much like TP's struggles against USC), and then as a fourth year junior he blossomed after gaining much needed experience.

Pryor is still a young kid.. a young kid with around 2 and a half more years on campus. If we had all judged Troy Smith and Vince Young by where they were at the same time they would be abject failures, I mean at the same point in their careers Troy was a kick returner and fourth string quarterback and Vince didn't get to share time with Chance Mock until halfway through the year for christ sake.

Bottomline: This was Pryor's worst game as a Buckeye. I think that's obvious. But in the fourth quarter he led this team back with his legs and his arm to a near chance at a tying drive until a stupid facemask penalty ruined any hope of that. He looked like the Franchise player he's supposed to be in that 4th quarter.

The offensive line, flat out, played thier worst game in years. Brandon Saine had to break 2-3 tackles to make it past the line of scrimmage and Pryor was hung out to dry all night. If you can't even block the dline for the .5-1.0 second you have to on a screen pass then you have no hope to block anyone. Purdue had a great gameplan and really took it to us.
