Also, those teams were wayyyyyyy better at the other position than this OSU team.
Well I'd say he falls under the category, he doesn't have the mobility of a Smith or a Pryor but he used his legs plenty, especially in the NC game.

And Krenzel is not a mobile qb at all, just because Miami let him run all over them doesnt mean he's mobile. He's a capable runner at best. Krenzel just wasnt afraid and he displayed that in the NCG.

Did I say he only a mobile QB because he ran all over Miami?

Krenzel was a tough, smart leader and it was his running ability, or scrambling ability to buy time, that converted multiple clutch situations throughout his career.

Now Purdue anytime Coach Hope gets called out, people will just bring up this win. Purdue will refuse to make any changes and stay mediocre. Thanks a lot Ohio State.

Maybe this win will light a fire under the team and show Hope that if he coaches well (or plays a team with worse coaching) Purdue can compete.

            Yes

            No

Remember the Purdue game? The Michigan game? Those games were won with him throwing in the pocket.

I keep hearing Pryor is like 6'3 with a 4.3 40. Why isn't he playing WR?

Right... the Michigan game where the game winning TD was scored on an option where the end pinched on Krenzel because of his running ability?

Or the Purdue game where Krenzel set up a Buckeye field goal before the half with a clutch scramble? Or where his scrambling allowed Hartsock to get it to 4th and 1 and set up Holy Buckeye?

Krenzel is a pass first quarterback obviously but he had the mobility to make it happen with his mobility, whether it was running for a first down or scrambling and letting his receivers get open.

                    6'6 240 with a 4.33 40 if you believe the 40 times.

He has a cannon though.. you don't move someone to WR when they can throw it like that.

Pryor doesnt have a cannon, he's a good at lobbing the ball for long passes, thats it. He doesnt have a bullet at all

If he doesn't start playing better he's eventually gonna get moved there whether he likes it or not.

Pryor is awful. The comparison to Vince Young is laughable, because Vince Young could at least throw a pass. Pryor cannot. I blame Tressel. Pryor has yet to improve since becoming a Buckeye.

Seriously? Arm strength is not a question with Pryor, it's his decision making (!!!!!) and his touch.

Oh, really? That would be why Vince had a TD-INT ratio of 18-18 and a completion % of 59 in his first two years as a starter in an even simpler scheme than Pryor is in now. This was after having the benefit of a redshirt year.

Pryor was thrown into the fire as a true frosh and has a career completion % of 58, and a 22-12 TD-INT ratio.

Pryor cannot. I blame Tressel. Pryor has yet to improve since becoming a Buckeye.
You haven't seen any improvement at all? I know I sure have.

Vince Young did struggle passing early on in his career but dude still had about 2000 yards rushing and 25 TDs in his first two years. Pryor will be lucky to have the impact in 4 years that VY had in three.
