    Hats off to Orton

I hate on him a lot and still don't like him very much due to his abysmal play in Chicago for years (the 26-12 career record isn't credited to his play, more so of the defense). But he's been lighting it up in Denver and they are 6-0.

I would still much rather have Cutler for the Bears but I am glad Orton isn't completely bombing like I suspected him to do.

Maybe it wasn't all his fault in Chicago, just saying

Do you think they would be 6-0 with Cutler? I'm amazed with the level that Orton is playing at. Hope they keep him around, the kid is a lot better than how everyone thought he would be.

Thats because the Bears D and Special Teams stole one from him against Atlanta last year.

It's amazing what happens when you don't have to play for a Ron Turner offense, and with project WRs like Devin Hester.

              Color me impressed.

              Orton: 124/194 (63.9%), 1,465 yds, 9 TD, 1 INT

Even if his play slows down, it's almost a given at this point that he'll set a new career high in touchdown passes (18 from last year is his best mark).

The entire nation is eating crow right now. There's not a fan or analyst living who thought that McDaniels and Orton would be 6-0. In fact, 99% of us laughed at the notion of Denver even getting close to a winning record.

Well the nation was looking at the precedent Orton has set for himself. His career record may be nice but anybody who has watched him play in the past knows that he has been far from stellar. I will say one thing..he looks amazing in the Denver Offense.

Looks like a change of scenery was needed for him to succeed. He probably would have done better last season for the Bears until he hurt his ankle and missed a week (Grossman had to play...jesus)

I'll take McDaniels over Ron Turner...just as long as he promised to never celebrate with a tri-fist pump

Orton has a QB rating of 100.1 on the season.
The Broncos have a 3.5 game lead in the AFC West, in the NFL a team has never failed to make the playoffs after getting a 3.5 game lead in their division.
                  Should be a good year.

                    I'll still take Lovie Smith.

My past "like" for Orton was only based off the fact that Bear fans had no other choice. Nobody in their mind would have thought we'd even sign a FA QB let alone trade for Cutler.

Also Glen I know you're excited your team is undefeated and Orton is actually playing good but it can only last for so long lol. Unless the Broncos go 19-0 and Orton throws 36 touchdowns and 2 interceptions (intercepted sweep to Moreno by blitzing DE, no way he would actually throw an errant pass).

p.s. fist pumps are never awesome.

Any Bear fans remember the super-bowl year where we started out really good and Grossman won player of the month with monster stats?

Orton is 100x better then Grossman, just an example that things could definitely go astray. If the same wound up happening, I would giggle.

Kyle Orton's rank in various categories this year:
                            Wins: 6 (1st)
                            Completion Percentage: 63.9 (16th)
                            Yards: 1465 (7th)
                            Yards per attempt: 7.6 (10th)
                            Touchdowns: 9 (10th)
                            Interceptions: 1 (1st)
                            Rating: 100.1 (8th)

Kyle Orton is easily a Top 10 quarterback in the NFL right now.

Kyle Orton and Bronco's owner Pat Bowlen are members of the same fraternity. O.o
