Yes both teams got what they wanted, but Denver made out better. Anytime you receiver two first round picks you usually end up on the winning side. Denver also got lucky that Orton has excelled so far in McDaniel's offense and now they might not need to spend one of those first round picks next year on a quarterback like some thought they might.Comment

And Glen, don't forget we were able to trade one of our first round picks next year to move up for Alphonso Smith this year.Comment

Yeah, I'm not understanding this hand picked thing? How can you be hand picked when it was well-publicized that he was going after Cassell and the only reason they really got Orton was because Cutler demanded a trade out of town.
How the hell is that hand picked?Comment

When McD came to Denver, he probably was like, "Sweet, i got Cutler" then he heard about trade rumors involving Cassel, he probably thought teaching Cutler all his tricks would be harder to teach him when he knew Cassel in NE, when this came out, the media blew it out of proportion, Cutler didnt like the idea of being traded to the Chiefs or traded in general so he asked for a trade, ironic huh? Bears come along, offer Orton and 2/3 ? future picks for Cutler, McD thinks this is the best offer and pulls the trigger, and again, media blows it out of proportion.Comment

Cutler has all the talent in the world but his mind doesn't seem to be there yet . Maybe with some time and a better O/C he will live up to his true potentialComment
