You have to be at least a little bit emotionally invested in a team to truly enjoy or appreciate the success. So with that said, if you are emotionally invested, losses will hurt to some degree.

For the Rams, I have ZERO expectations week to week, but still, during the game i'm not the most pleasant person to be around. But since the team is so bad and going nowhere, i'm over it quickly and i'm able to enjoy the late games.

Now, when the Rams are contenders, get the fuck out of my way when they lose until at least Tuesday.

depends on the kind of loss.

if it's against a really good team, i kind of go in to the game with the mentality that my eagles could lose. but like last week, when i was happy all weekend because we were playing the raiders and i was expecting a big highlight reel, and we lost, that's when i get pissed off.

losses to the cowboys and redskins piss me off too. i've gotten better with the giants because i've come to almost expect a tough game, and i respect eli more ever since that super bowl.

This year I don't know who I'd look to after a loss... My early money would probably be on Brett Kern for having a shitty punting day or something.
Same. I complain on the Ravens message boards about how terrible certain players are and it makes me feel better. By Monday morning I'm usually over it.

To be honest, my mood will depend on the type of loss. Blowout losses don't bother me as much, but losing by a missed FG (as the Ravens lost to the Vikings) or a late TD (as the Ravens lost to the Bengals) really pisses me off. Losing at home (because I have season tickets and will be there) also pisses me off. Losing to a shitty team pisses me off, when Billick was coach the Ravens would always lose a game to the Browns and that annoyed me to no end when it happened.

It's weird for me. Watching Pitt win two Super Bowls hasn't taken the edge off per se, but it certainly has diminished the importance of the regular season to me, to a degree. With the way the Steelers looked in their regular season last year (at times just strangely bad) or in 2004 (where they went on that insane run), at this point I have trouble getting worried or upset at a loss this early. As things get more serious/important, I'm certain I'll be way more invested, but nothing like I used to be from start to finish of football season.

I felt good after the Vikings loss yesterday.

I could bitch and moan about the loss and generally be in a sad mood, but I chose to look at the bright side: We played well, on the road, against the reigning Super Bowl champions. I think we needed a game like this and we could use a few more before the playoffs. I think it made our team better, in a way.

When Ohio State loses I'm pissed off.

When the Panthers or Bengals lose, it hurts but I can get over it.

I'm a far bigger fan of college sports than professional.

usually depends on the magnitude of the game....during the season if the Giants lose, I'm pissed for about 5 or 10 minutes

If it's a playoff loss like the one to the Niners when we choked away the LEAD THEN FUCKED UP A POTENTIAL GAME WINNING FIELD GOAL, it takes some time to get over it....like years

It's not like anyone can tell tho

As a Lions fan, it's pretty much the same reaction after every loss now...
"Oh well....it's the f*cking Lions...why do i watch them anymore?? I'll never watch them again.." Then i watch them the following Sunday. lol...

Now when we win....HOLY SHIT haha

I don't get too emotionally invested into my teams, so I'd say most of the time I'm upset for probably about 5-10 minutes and I move on.

Early in the season, I say; "its alright, we can bounce back."

'07 NFC Championship game loss cut me deep. All I could think about was how many chances we had and still couldn't pull it out.

I dont act like a vagina after the loss. I just stay away from sportscenter and all NFL related stuff for the rest of the day.

In the NFL, not too upset. In College Basketball, let's just say I burned a few Nova Nation T-Shirts last March.
