About your second point, I'd just keep it at the fact that he is not a leader. Not only is he unable to make the players around him better, but he also is unable to win close games late. He had another chance today and made stupid mistakes. Everyone bitches about Brett Favre because he did this in the playoffs and it's funny because Rodgers can't even pull off the game winning drive in the regular season. I think he had like 6 chances last season and failed all of them and this is his 2nd this season, both of which he has failed.
LOLGASOL@Aaron Rodgers.

Its one thing to love Favre and appreciate all he did. He was a leader and elevated the play of others. Rodgers doesn't have that yet. But this twisting of facts against Rodgers is completely ridiculous.
EDIT: lol at the word heart automatically becoming a heart emoticon. So I guess we can't actually use the word heart here anymore. This post looks so gay now. How are people going to take me seriously with a bunch of hearts in my post.Last edited by Spidey; 11-08-2009, 04:54 PM.Comment

I admit, I fell for the Green Bay hype, and expected some type of unstoppable force, but I sure as hell won't bash on a 1 year starter for not living up to it..... yet.Comment

In Rodgers defense that is really not a fair evaluation. Multiple time last season Rodgers put the team in position to win late and the D gave up the game in a heartbeat afterward. Rodgers also pulled off a late win this year already against the Bears.

Bottom line was Rodgers had a chance in many of those games. Countless times last year, Rodgers and the offense had the ball, down by a field goal with 2 minutes left and couldn't do anything with it but throw picks and hold onto the ball trying to make something happen that obviously wasn't going to. He did the exact same thing today. The defense was obviously the main problem last year, but leaders make up for that. I forgot about the Bears game this year, he hooked up with Jennings perfectly and needs to do this more often. Even in that game, Rodgers didn't have a drive going, it was just one big play that did it. In the end that's all fine and dandy though because 6 points is 6 points.
Honestly the truth is somewhere in between. Its not nearly the problem that many people and Favre fans make it out to be and its true its not a strong point for him.Comment

Im not saying he cant improve on it. Im just saying its unfair to place that all on him last year when multiple times he did go down and score only for the defense to blow it.

I don't see anyway that TT doesn't finish out the season. He may even get another season by firing MM to save his own ass.
Personally I would have no problem running MM out tomorrow. Knowing TT, who I am assuming will be the one to make the call, nothing will happen though. My disdain along with many of the fans has been building consistently through the season. He seems completely inept out there, even when they win. I really can't figure out his game plan most weeks.
I think two things may work against MM finishing out the season. 1) TT's need to save his own ass. 2) There are a plethora of highly desired experienced winning coaches available right now (one of whom is a big time Packers favorite). Making the move now may give the Packers a better chance to move on one of them.Last edited by Spidey; 11-08-2009, 05:09 PM.Comment

I'll say this, if our first round pick is not a LT, I will lose all faith.Comment

He's probably draft a CB of the future, I have no doubt. He's stupid enough to do it.Comment
