It's almost invalid to compare Duper to any WR Warner played with for many reasons.
1. The rule changes in recent years.
2. Every star WR [outside of Fitz who only played his rookie season 780 yds 8 tds BTW] had their best years receiving measured by stats without Warner.
3. Duper never played without Marino.
4. Duper's name sucks.
Just sayin'.
edit: I'm sorry this is just mean, I'll strike it from the record.
5. You're a nuckleheadpatra that took his name from a shitty song by an even shittier UK band.Last edited by Shayn•Da•Pain; 11-27-2009, 03:08 AM.sigpicComment

I was comparing? Did you see any stats?
I was simply telling you that, like Larry, Mark knew his place/role.
Just get over it, man, Fitz has.Comment

Since you talk Larry and Duper, at least Larry had a stat before Warner...and some damn good numbers for a rookie too.
Did Holt know his place?
Bruce?
Boldin?
Faulk?Last edited by Shayn•Da•Pain; 11-27-2009, 03:14 AM.sigpicComment

Let's use, uh, Matt Jones... Matt Jones even had a 100 yard game during his rookie season, and he was rumored to be snorting cocaine at the time.. Cocaine + Byron Leftwich + 100 yards = Impressive, if you ask me.
Larry's rookie season didn't impress me at all. Larry Fitzgerald will impress me, when Kurt Warner retires, and Fitzgerald's performances lead the team to victories, division tites, postseason victories. It's not too much to ask, since they're doing it now, right? And when he does that, If I'm still alive by then, I'll log on, and say I was wrong.
''But it's a team sport, nuk.'' True, and the team is performing very well together, so when Warner retires, he'll leave that team a winner, so whatever happens after that, is on the shoulders of the players who stay behind. And I'll be laughing my fucking ass off, when it all comes crumbling down.
2011, Arizona Cardinals = 4-12.
Quote me.
Can we move on now? I mean, we can discuss this in 2011.
Edit: Yes, people, I know it is asking too much of Fitzgerald, because a WR cannot determine the outcome of an NFL game, the way a two time MVP/Hall of famer (Kurt Warner) can. That's my point. Larry Fitzgerald is a very very good football player. He's compliments Kurt Warner very well, but that's all he does.Last edited by Nukleopatra; 11-27-2009, 03:41 AM.Comment

Larry Fitzgerald didn't have a single 100 yard game during his rookie season (16 games.) Even Az Hakim had a 100 yard game, when he started at least 15 games. Of course, Hakim did have Kurt Warner throwing him the ball, so, lol, that's not a fair comparison, you know?

Holt, Bruce, Boldin, and even Toomer all had multiple 100 yard games without Warner, and all had their best statistical seasons without Warner. Just sayin'.
And why did you bold Boldins name? I didn't see you say anything about him. lol
And Matt Jones has really panned out, I must have missed the year he had 1409 yards and made the pro bowl. oh...Last edited by Shayn•Da•Pain; 11-27-2009, 03:44 AM.sigpicComment

QB's touch the ball every play, kind of like when Warner was replaced after fumbling the ball six times in one game back in St. Louis ...WR's don't determine the outcome unless the QB can get the ball out to them.Last edited by Shayn•Da•Pain; 11-27-2009, 03:51 AM.sigpicComment

Josh Mccown who in 2007, was able to hit Ronald Curry for 130+ yards.
Josh Mccown is also responsible for, I think two of Larry Fizgeralds three 100 yard games, prior to Kurt Warner. Three 100 yard games in 32 NFL starts, prior to Kurt Warner.. Again, I'm impressed. How Larry hasn't won MVP yet, is beyond me.
We done yet?Comment

Josh Mccown, who was able to hit Boldin twice in 2004 (Fitz's rookie season,) for over 100 yards.

edit: I thought you were making a case for Larry being unable to get 100+ yards without Warner. Odd strategy to change it up at this point. McCown sucks ass chunks and even he could get Larry 100 yards in a game.
Larry had three 90+ yd games as a rookie each time with a TD. And had two multi-TD games as a rookie outside of these 90+ yard games...not too shabby.Last edited by Shayn•Da•Pain; 11-27-2009, 04:00 AM.sigpicComment

It didn't take much effort at all, Shayne.
I mean, it's Larry Fitzgerald.
Now gtfo of my thread, and post in ours.Comment

I do see where you're coming from Nuk. I remember someone saying in the chatbox that the only reason Philip Rivers was any good was because he has 4 recievers over 6"4. Ugh..Comment

Nah I'm not saying Warner isn't any good, I've said in this thread I consider him HOF. Not exactly the same situation here.sigpicComment

For someone like David Garrard or Trent Edwards or Marc Bulger - a great WR makes a massive difference.Comment
