If you asked each and every player on that team, you'd get the same answer - the confidence level of that football team, when Kurt Warner is in, is enough to help beat any team in the NFL.

That ALL changes if Leinart has to come in.

If you're Larry Fitzgerald, Boldin or Breaston, you'd much rather have the perfect pass waiting for you, when Warner is in, than to have to actually do work, when Matt Leinart is in. Kurt Warner is to Arizona, what Peyton Manning is to Indy. It ALL changes, if one of those guys goes down, and no amount of talent around, is going to be good enough to replace that loss.

Maybe ''carry'' is too strong of a word for some of you, but it's not for me.
while Warner May be exceptional. What you stated is true of any team use to a particular starter. They play better for a guy who isnt a fill-in. Doesnt mean they are the end all, be all. He is just the most noticable piece of a huge team puzzle.

I disagree. There's so many teams that would be playoff contenders, if they had Kurt Warner. There's only about 4 quarterbacks right now, that I would consider taking over Kurt Warner.

You don't think he carries the team, I know he does.

Who gives a fuck? Enjoy life, buddy.

            ramjackson is an idiot.

Warner carries the Cardinals just like he carried the Rams.

Marc Bulger had all the talent in the world around him too, when Kurt left but didn't do a damn thing.

            Kurt's a beast.

                Certainly not Marc Bulger.

1-2 postseason record, and he had some talent around him.

I just have to ask how Warner could have been 0-6 including 5 strait losses to start the season in 2002, yet Bulger was 6-1 with that EXACT same team...and Faulk was playing injured 1/3 of the year while Bulger was winning.

Who won 12 games and replaced Warner, after Kurt's shitty performance in game one of the 2003 season, 79.4 rating 1td 1int and 6fumbles in one game? Bulger did it with the EXACT SAME TEAM.

The defensive talent fell off as well after 2001. Fletcher left a big hole on defense, and the rest of that D got old or left with a quickness. Not that the Rams D was very good before 2002, but the defense got significantly worse that season on.

First of all, I'll be the FIRST to say Bulger sucks. The first person. With that said--->

Faulk wasn't the same running back after 2002. Defense got old and the good players like Fletcher left quick. And not that Proehl or Az-Zahir were pro-bowler, but they were damn good #3's in that system and they jumped ship quick also. Not to mention Martz went crazy, Joe Vitt head coach of '05, Linehan was shit, Haslett and Spags aren't any better...No wonder Bulger only had 1 playoff win.

edit: Bulger is 17th on the list of 300 yard games, above Unitas, Kelly, and Aikman. If Bulger had so many 300 yard games with that depleted and deteriorating Rams team I wonder how many he would have had with a Faulk in his prime, and 2 HOF WR's along with 2 more solid targets in Proehl+Hakim. But yea Bulger sucks, and he does suck...so how has he thrown for 22,814 yards and 122 TDs? Even though the talent around Bulger was obviously less than Warner, he still put up some kick ass numbers...and again Bulger sucks!

He seems to be on my ignore list, and I have no clue why.

I'm almost interested enough to remove him...... almost.

Yes, and he was also punch drunk from multiple concussions.

"Bulger didnt do shit with the same talent" is just dumb "Super Bowl or bust" hyperbole.

Bulger was a very good QB from 2002-2006, and dragged some awful teams to the playoffs on his back (2004, for example). Proehl & Hakim didnt play with Bulger, and Faulk was washed up. The defense was in steady decline from 2002 on, i.e. the Bulger years. The offense suffered a similar decline during the Linehan era. This idea that Bulger simply stepped into the "Greatest Show" is false.

2007-2009 Bulger is a beaten man, beaten down from more sacks than any other QB since 2004. He's a shell of his former self. Pre-2007, he was a very good QB playing for a rapidly declining team.

"Marc Bulger didnt do shit with the same talent" is a reckless, stupid statement based on nothing.

What if Archie had even had mediocre talent around him instead of the flat out awful talent the Saints had back in the day? His name would be much higher on all of historical QB ratings.
