Peyton Manning has a pedestrian day before getting pulled against the Jets and the perfect season is now off of the table. Brees and the Saints fail to get it done at home for 2 weeks in a row. Chris Johnson has a decent game but is now very doubtful to break 2,000 yards. Favre has yet to play this week so it remains to be seen if he can have a good day against a Bears team that will be playing for pride.
Since Brees and Favre both have better QB ratings than Manning, the only real thing that Manning had was the perfect season to cement his MVP selection for this season. Maybe he still holds onto it but I think the discussion of him having locked it up after the Jaguars game last week (a position that I shared) is now looking to have been a little premature.
