Romo is a good QB but elite QB's are guy who are proven winners and have proved they can do it during the biggest time of the year.
Putting Romo in the "elite" catagory next to guys like Manning, Brady, McNabb,(Nuke will murder everyone if Warner isn't there), and Big Ben is a little early to do at this point.
Romo still has things left to prove before getting to that level.Comment

Elite QB's win playoff games.

Just like I believed he could "succeed" in December (What a crock).
But once that "playoff monkey" is gone, there will be something else.

Means nothing if he can't lead his team to beat the Eagles next week.

You can blame the Seattle game on him. Even though I disagree with who's fault it was that the game was even close, fact is he dropped that ball.
But the Giant game is nowhere near his fault. I'll never be convinced otherwise. There are so many variables that had nothing to do with him, be it questionable penalties, blown defensive assignments, and dropped passes/bad routes by receivers.
Don't care what the criteria is, you can't blame a QB for failing when his teammates let him down.
Peyton Manning had this same issue. And Romo's play in playoff games is better than his was before he finally kicked that stigma.
I think things are different this time. I actually have confidence that the defense can stop people when they need to now.

Strongly disagree.
This game is a preview. The only thing at stake next Sunday is who gets homefield. Winner takes the division and the 3 seed. Loser gets the 6 seed. They'll rematch in the Wild Card.
I wouldn't be shocked at all to see a split in this series. It could go either way.
That said, I hope for a "sweep".

Romo is not currently an elite QB. He is a few years(2-3) of playoff success from getting into that catagory IMO.Last edited by FirstTimer; 12-28-2009, 02:02 PM.Comment
