Cowher would be a mammoth hire for the Bucs..

That said I hope Paul Allen swoops in and hires both Colbert and Cowher first. Highly doubtful but at this point I hate Mora so bad I am hoping for the best.

Florio is reporting via an Amarillo, Texas reporter that the Glazers have informed Raheem and Dominik that they will be back in 2010. I'll reserve comment till I have had a night to sleep on the news and to see if I can get any sort of updates from anyone I know.

This Warren McCarty guy is the only one that is reporting this story about Morris and Dominik. I know Dominik was in El Paso to take a look at Gerald McCoy. Maybe Dominik slipped him the story...IDK.

Anyway, I have not heard from anyone else this story. The understanding I have is that today still matters. The game is a "sell-out" b/c the Glazers bought up the tickets and tried to give them away. So the actual attendance for today will matter and how the game plays out will also matter. Finally, the feedback from the fans about next season and people keeping their season-tickets will matter.

I will be watching today with great interest. I have the radio pregame on right now. It is taking everything I can to not vomit though b/c 620 becomes the Buccaneer Radio Network on Sunday morning and it is nothing but spin/sunshine lol - it's awful. Any Buc fans looking for comedic relief just tune in to the live streaming at 620wdae.com and click on the "listen live" link. Scott Ledger is practically shoving the kool-aid down the listeners throats.

Reports are that the Glazers are instructing ushers to invite people in the 300 level down to the 100 and 200 level of the stadium so that it "looks full" on tv. Justin Pawlowski from 620 is at the game and said that just minutes before kickoff the stadium was nearly empty.

I still believe this will play into the Glazers decision to keep or fire Raheem. This Warren McCarty guy is someone I have never heard of and is reporting out of Amarillo, Texas. Short of him speaking directly with Mark Dominik about his job security, I don't know how he has any info related to the Buccaneers. If you really want Raheem gone though - pray for a HUGE second half by the Falcons and for the Bucs to continue this pitiful offensive performance.

I completely agree with Joe Henderson of the Tampa Tribune in his post-game blog. The more silent the Glazers are on the subject, the more likely it is that they are looking to replace Raheem - which is what I said a few days ago. Makes me think that this McCarty guy is just throwing some stuff out there in the hopes he can say he scooped the MSM.

Anyway, here is Henderson's blog post:

They don’t really have the luxury of time.

We know the arguments for bringing an experienced pro like Cowher on board, but the best one may simply be that the Bucs can’t afford another season like this one. If the Glazers are certain that they’ve seen enough in Raheem to guarantee that much brighter days are around the corner, they should stand up and say so.

Until then, their silence speaks loudly.

              To add to the speculation:

We waited .... and waited and waited.

But we saw no sign of the Glazer brothers after today's game, although they almost certainly were in the building (the private security guys wearing earpieces and dark suits are usually a good indication).

Several members of the media wanted to ask the obvious questions -- what they thought of the season, do they plan to retain Raheem Morris and Mark Dominik -- but we never got the chance. Whether they ducked out a back door or took a different route than usual out of the stadium we may never know.

So, we remain in the dark about ownership's plans and likely will remain so until the business of 2010 gets underway. That's usually the scouting efforts that begin at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala. in a few weeks.

Jon Gruden was fired three days before the coaching staff was to report for workouts in advance of that game.
I have not heard anything in regards to what the Glazers plan to do. Which usually means they have their lips sewn shut and anything that is spoken is on a "need to know" basis only. To me, this indicates that they will likely burrow themselves into seclusion and work their ass off to get Cowher to Tampa. If they can't get it done we will get some BS press-release talking about how they were behind Raheem the entire time. The next 48-72 hours will be very interesting and I promise to give you any info that I get regarding the matter.
