Just some quick thoughts on the game last night.....I'm really concerned about our defense so I was focused on that for much of the first half when the starters were in.
-Beirman looked really good. He's really come a long way from a spot player, to a potentially very good player on defense.
-Spoon kinda looked bad.
-Owens looks very much improved, more of him, less of Grimes is a good thing this year.
-Coleman was laying some hits down.
-I'm very concerned about our LB's. Peterson is getting up their in age and I just don't have alot of confidence in Lofton and Nicholas.
-Chevis Jackson,,,,ugggh.
-Kerry Meier left the field with an injured knee, anyone have an update on that?
-Troy Bergeron with a Touchdown!! Here's to hoping he can stick on the roster, and we can use him. He'd be a great slot guy, or a short possession guy like Wes Welker. I doubt he gets a chance, but here's to hoping!!Comment

I would of hated to be in that locker room during halftime with Smitty.

I am glad Turn'n Burn is back, I am targeting him again for fantasy this year.
You all need to put a call in to Mike Smith, so he can light a fire under the LBs collective asses. That tackling reminded me of the game film Coach "Fonz" was analyzing in the beginning of Water Boy.

Damn that sucks, the early injuries are starting reminding me of the start of last year. Jenkins, Norwood, and now Meier. If we can just stay healthy this year we will go far, but I guess thats a big IF. Any word on when Jenkins is gonna come back? We desperately need him back. This is why I wished the Falcons would have drafted a WR at some point in the draft.Comment

Damn, it didn't look that bad initially, and if I remember correctly, he left the field under his own power.
We are so screwed with Wr's, but it's our own fault. The only upgrade was Meier. We really need a slot burner, like a Dennis Norhtcutt type. Harry Douglas I fear will never be the same after the injury. That leaves us with White, Finneran, Douglas (who I don't think will ever be the same).
Week 1 we are probably looking at White, Douglas (let's hope I'm wrong and Douglas still has his turbo boost of speed)and Finneran, kinda scary. Jenkins probably out for at least Week 1.
The 4th WR would have to be either Weems or Bergeron. Bergeron is my all time favorite Arena football player and it looks like he finally will get a chance to make the non practice squad team and an outside chance to play. Not a fan of Weems on kickoffs or as a WR. Jennings and Weems just have really given us nothing over the years in the return game.Comment
