Considering he hasn't really played much, I am not so sure that is true. My guess is he's better because's he's had to focus solely on football to get back after coming from jail. I'd take a gamble on Vick too, there are worse players to take a gamble on..

When Vick was with the Falcons, we were the #1 rushing team in the league not just because of his added yards but because the constant threat of a Vick bootleg pulled defenders away from the play and opened up cutback lanes. If he can still be a threat to turn the corner, Vick will improve Jackson's numbers. As for the passing game... ¯\(°_o)/¯ he'll probably be better than Keith Null, right?

Dunn and Duckett averaged the same or more yards when Vick was out as when he was playing.

So are you saying Vick was actually good? He never did anything of real note other than run for 1000 yards which is a meaningless stat for a QB because it's nearly impossible for a QB to lose rushing yardage when he drops back to pass seeing as sacks come off of his passing yardage....Plus the previous record was held by Bobby Douglass and outside of marrying a playboy bunny Douglass did nothing of note during his time in the NFL.

Say what you will about Vick, but as a starter he was 10 games over .500. He may be a average to below average QB, but his teams won more than lost with him as the starter. If Vick came to St. Louis and won 6 games next year they'd have a parade for him at the end of the year.

If the Rams had a top 25 QB I would say hell no to Vick. However, after winning six games in the last three years, something has to change. Remember, a two win season next year would actually be a sign of improvement!

its no secret that he was never a great qb but hes a great rb with a good ability to throw and i would love to see him start for a team again. really what have the rams to lose after a 1 win season. they need somebody who fills a stadium and brings some excitement back to the franchise and everybody who says vick wasnt a great football player just doesnt know anything about football. dont give me qb stats now but he led the league in yards per carry as a qb in atlanta

Makes perfect sense. Let's totally disregard the most important statistics for his position, in favor of his rushing totals which are nothing more than a bonus. Anyone who THINKS Vick was a great football player doesn't know anything about football. Vick was capable of being an exciting player who made a highlight reel play each game. People are enamored with his big arm and speed because of how fun it is to watch .. except it will never lead any team to any substantial success. You don't even know if he still has the speed/open field ability! He spent 2 years in prison. I'd say he's most likely not as explosive.

Take him in Oakland and lose for another 7-8 years. I'll be laughing my ass off while QB's who can throw the football (you know, what they're required to do) continually win the Super Bowl and the Raiders pick in the top 10.
