You're definitely right, the same principle should apply. FWIW, I was more making fun of Jay Culter, but it's a cheap time to make such jokes you're right.

I don't think what King said was disrespectful or tasteless, I just think he writes useless shit and this was another example.

I was paraphrasing, and it was the "one of" part that I was addressing, not the rest of the sentence. Change "tragic" for "sad" and its the same statement.

Don't be dense just because you may like Peter King. He's an awful columnist, but because he has access, people think he's an "expert."

Ok, I don't see how saying "One of the bigger football related tragedies" instead of "One of the sad football related things" changes the context, but I'll thank you for your fellow hatred of Peter King. And if you'll read, I said you "may" like Peter King. I'm glad you don't, but I was allowing for the possibility, because inexplicably, some in this thread have admitted to it.
