Is Mark Sanchez the worst QB to make start a conference championship game?

In an era where its common for a QB to throw for 4000 yards and have a 100 rating, Mark Sanchez has directed the 31st ranked passing offense and has a rating of 63, which places him 28th among qualifiers.

Is he the worst QB ever to start a conference championship game?

how good was the 2000 Ravens passing attack?

both Banks/Dilfer threw for 1500 yards each with combined 20TD 19INT

    that's pretty awful

Take into account he is a rookie.

Here is Big Ben's rookie stats from his first two playoff games

        31/54, 407 yards, 3 TD, 5 INT, 61.3 rating

        Sanchez's first two playoff games

        24/38, 282 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT, 92.2 rating

        not bad

Only difference is Big Ben had a game saving tackle.

That was his second season. In which he was great in the playoffs (not including the SB, obviously).

Naw..Probably Roethlesberger(when he was younger and extremely overrated).

Roethlisberger has no business in this discussion. He was overrated his rookie year, but he was still much better than Sanchez. He didn't play well in the actual playoffs, but 2600+ yards, 17 TDs, 11 ints and a 66% completion removes you from contention.

He's definitely one of the worst. I contend that Shaun King was the worst QB to ever make it to the Conference Championship round.

                        Jay Schroeder.

Shaun King is a good choice, though.

                          Either this guy, or...

                          Deiter Brock, "/thread".

EDIT-Mark Sanchez is a rookie. I think people are being too hard on him. I think he has a nice career ahead of him.

Deiter Brock was still more accurate than Jay Scroeder.
