Is Drew Brees now a potential Hall of Famer?

The citizens of New Orleans have had little to look forward to since Katrina ripped through this state...Towns, Farms, and Schools lie in shambles across the state to this day, while the rest of the country bats a blind eye to the situation. The entire state is pulling for the Saints because its the only bright spot they've had in years, and its brought the community together in ways one would never have imagined.
And its because of Breesus.

I'd say dominance over a 16-game period means a lot more than 1 game.
You can have Ottis Anderson, Larry Brown and Desmond Howard. I'll take Randall Cunningham and Brett Favre andLast edited by FedEx227; 02-08-2010, 09:50 AM.Comment

Would you guys put Ben Roethlisberger in the HoF?
Just wondering...
Brees has 8 Full-ish seasons in the NFL. 6 of which are considered good seasons. 1 SuperBowl.
Roethlisberger has 6 Full Seasons in the NFL. 4 of which are considered good seasons. 2 Super Bowl wins.
Point I guess I'm trying to make is the HoF is the Hall of Fame Not the Hall of Really Good. We can't throw every Quarterback who wins a SB in the Hall.
In my opinion there are only 3 Quarterbacks in the league right now that really deserve to be in the Hall of Fame.
Peyton Manning - The GOAT
Brett Favre - The Stats holder
Tom Brady - 3 Super Bowls, and put up the greatest season in the history of football.Comment

Potential yes. Cemented in? Not so much. Put together a few more good season with a few more playoff wins and he should be good to go in. He has I think 30,000 career passing yards so if he puts gets a one more 4000 yard season he will be in the top 20 all time pass yards.Comment

It's nice to see that someone with 8 Seasons in his career, and only 6 of them being qualified as good seasons puts someone in the Hall of Fame these days.
No wonder why Kurt Warner got in. Even though he spent half of his career injured or on the bench.
I recall the Hall of Fame being the most elite of the crop. The guys that have played 10-15 years, and have dominated in just about every season of their career.
The people in the league that are without a shadow of a doubt the best player at their position for years, upon years, upon years.
In my ever so humble opinion being a Hall of Fame player means being dominant for a decade or more. It means being someone who never gets injured, or perhaps plays through injury. Someone who shows toughness, and grit. Someone who leads their conference in their main stat category at least 5 times in their career. Someone when you ask yourself who the best in the league at that position is, automatically comes to mind without any doubt. But also someone who falls under this thought for years, and years.Originally posted by Leftwich 2-14-2009I wasn't comparing myself to Wildcard. I honestly don't think I could compare myself to God.

There is a lot more to the city than 10 blocks of tourist trap that is necessary to draw conventions and hospitality events that the city depends on for its survival.Comment

Get out of the French Quarter much? The locals don't even go there because people from across the country run around with beads trying to get bitches to show their tits and puke on the street 24x7.

No, it doesn't. Only the areas where drunken tourists piss on the streets does it smell like piss. Is the smell of river water in the air in the central part of the city? Yes. There is a little river called the Mississippi that runs through the middle of the city that you might be smelling if you are close enough but there is no "piss" smell in the whole city.Comment

That's like saying Santonio Holmes had a better year than Peyton Manning last year.

Brees was dominant over the season, just not as much as Manning obviously
So are you telling me Santonio Holmes had a better year than Peyton Manning last year? I know Pats fans make some retarded comments but this might just take the cakeLast edited by Archer; 02-08-2010, 04:17 PM.Comment

Exactly. The only times locals go to the FQ is maybe a little during Mardi Gras season or like last night and after the NFC championship game. Uptown and the Garden District are where its at.Comment
