Saw on the Patriots message board that the Patriots are leaders in the Anquan Boldin sweepstakes.

Football betting news and picks with focus on NFL, college football and sports betting legalization updates across the United States.

EDIT: Now Shefter is reporting that Baltimore is in the lead to get Boldin.

Would be stunned if Brandon Marshall is not a Seahawk very quickly. The deal will not be for the 6th overall .. But more likely our 40th overall pick as the main caveat.

Frankly Denver doesn't have many suitors for him, and since were in the NFC it makes a lot more sense to trade him to us.

A guy I trust says the groundwork is in place for Marshall being traded to Seattle for our 2nd and 4th round picks in 2010. Were also trying to get a pick back from Denver .. Likely a late one (5th or 6th)

He said Deion Branch is NOT a part of the deal and that Denver doesn't really have any interest in him.

On Friday, free-agent defensive end Aaron Kampman was heading to Philly for a free agent visit. He then changed his mind.

He had no similar Favresque experience after deciding to take a trip to Jacksonville. Kampman has indeed made the trek, and he's currently visiting with the Jaguars.

Michael C. Wright of the Florida Times-Union confirms the news that came earlier today regarding the visit.

Per Wright, Kampman is one of the Jags' top priorities in free agency. Kampman spent Saturday morning meeting with the staff.

Wright also writes that Kampman's people remain in contact with the Eagles.

The Broncos will not settle for less than a first-round pick in Brandon Marshall trade talks, according to the National Football Post.
"It's either an offer sheet or he plays in Denver next season," Michael Lombardi writes. The Broncos will not negotiate. Lombardi also expects the Seahawks to have competition for Marshall shortly, although he doesn't say which team would jump in. The Patriots, Falcons, and Bengals make sense.

CB Marlin Jackson to Visit Ravens
National Football Post - March 6
Former Colts cornerback Marlin Jackson, who has torn two ACLs and missed much of the 2009 season, is scheduled to meet with the Ravens Tuesday.

                                Edwards' Next Stop is Denver

                                ESPN - March 6
Ravens UFA defensive end Dwan Edwards will wrap up his visit with the Seahawks Saturday and go to visit the Denver Broncos Sunday.

                                -Jared Gaither
After assigning him just a first-round tender, the Ravens are believed to be willing to move restricted free agent LT Jared Gaither.
Gaither would've gotten the first- and third-round tender if the Ravens were truly intent on keeping him. The Ravens want to move Michael Oher to left tackle. The Baltimore Sun suggests four possible destinations for Gaither: San Francisco, Indianapolis, Dallas, and Seattle. Teams targeting Gaither could probably work out a deal for less than the first-round pick.
