    This year's Chris Canty.

He's a nice player, but not that nice that he deserves that kind of money.

Rolle is a very good safety. Who cares about the money?

Impact player in the secondary, I'll take 'em. :rockwoot:

Remember that the next time Justin Tuck accuses another team of trying to "buy" a Super Bowl.

Who gives a fuck what they paid him? Rolle and Phillips will be a great duo at Safety for the Giants.

What are you alluding to? Must've been a story I missed.

You've got selective memory. It was a big deal in the NY sports scene when he said that idiotic statement in 2008. Happened when teams reported to camp.

Just makes it funnier when you consider the money they've spent on so many free agents since then.

Nick Collins will probably replace him as highest paid in a couple of days.

After going through the archives, I vaguely recall it being a story during the summer after the Giants won the Super Bowl. The Cowboys spent an assload of dollars in restructuring/resigning their players. Tuck was pissed the Cowboys were (again) a hot team according to predictions for the Super Bowl.

Since then, the Giants sure have spent so much "on so many free agents since then."

The Giants spent little money that off-season. They spent more money in the 2009 off-season, signing Boley, Bernard and Canty.

                  Hardly a Redskins'-caliber laundry list.

What a horrific signing. Guy is practically the Antonio Cromartie of Safeties.

He is an impact player -- when he doesn't blow coverage or get completely burnt. I agree hes overrated but he'll shine on the Giants defense. The pressure those guys get up front makes any secondary player 10x better than they are.

Nothing to hate. You went 8-8.

At any rate, Arizona already has a replacement safety on the way. Trade for a certain safety is about 95% done.

We could of signed Jesus and you would have called him 'This year's Chris Canty'

You could've signed a bum off the street to a record contract, and when he called him "This year's Chris Canty" your response would have been exactly the same.

                            homer.
