        The Larrymock is great.

The only mock better is the one that doesn't exist.

You know damn well you clear your DVR down to 10% or less to make room for full nfl draft coverage by espn and nfln. And have a box of draft guides about a knee high.

          Youre not fooling anyone kiddo.
Best reason to have a license.

Thing is, I have no problem with the draft itself (although to be honest, I haven't watched the draft in about 5 years), even though it's easily one of the most painfully boring 4 hours of sports around (...and that's just the first round). I used to watch the draft, until I realised I could just turn on my computer after it's over, and see who everyone picked in about 5 minutes, as opposed to watching Mel Kiper's hair for 2 days on end.

My problem is with the "draftnik" culture, and even moreso, the practice of the dreaded "mock draft". Can anything possibly be more boring than reading somebody's mock draft? They are never, ever even remotely accurate, and you can blow them up as soon as the first of 100 trades go down. What the fuck is the point? A useless, 100% unentertaining endeavour that I will never understand.

I agree, the only benefit I can even see to doing a mock draft would be that it'd force me to scout a bunch of players. But since I'm not employed by a NFL team any scouting I do is a waste of time.

Kiper has had his own scouting business/service for decades, many NFL teams subscribe to it.

                        Die in a fire, uno.

I'm with you w3b, I don't get into the draft. I don't see the point unless your a top 5-10 pick. Why should I invest days researching who should the Giants draft only to be completely wrong/dissapointed on draft day? I'll watch the first 5 picks, then do something else until the giants are up, watch that and I'm done. And like Nuk said, 95% of all this trade talk and etc. is complete bullshit.
