People say they want veterans to mentor younger players, but in order for that to happen, the veterans have to respect the younger players. How is Dez Bryant earning anyone's respect on the team by saying that he doesn't have to go through the same hazing that they all went through and that he is the same as a free agent (as in, someone who has already done something in the NFL and earned the contract)?

Dez Bryant comes across as an ass by not accepting the rookie hazing.
All-time NFL greats have been through it.
Simply carrying a vet's pads should not be a big deal.
If they're shaving his balls, making him run naked through a gay bar, I understand...

The greatest players of all time have done it, Dez Bryant can too.

“Everything is good. You guys just want to pin us against each other, from the first day and it’s not going to happen. You can try again today and try again, but it’s not going to happen.“

On if he was upset about him not carrying the pads:
“I was never upset, watch the tape. I was never upset about anything. He doesn’t have to take the pads, and we have talked about it.”
