A bunch of players play with injuries you never even realize.

Jay Ratliff played all of last year with bone frangments in both elbows.

Ware had the obvious neck strain but also a broken foot and hand.

I'm sure there's many stories like that all around the league.

Dez Bryant doesn't strike me as someone who would take one for the team; and give 100% while playing hurt.

Now my man Tim Tebow on the other hand...

The Cowboys have confirmed that Dez Bryant has suffered a high right ankle sprain and will miss 4-6 weeks.

A player is generally placed into a protective boot to help reduce the swelling. A high ankle sprain involved the ligaments above the ankle that hold the tibia and fibula together.

If Bryant misses four weeks he could return for the Sept. 2 preseason finale vs. Miami. If the injury drags out to six weeks he could miss the regular-season opener Sept. 12 at Washington.

Last year, safety Ken Hamlin suffered a high right ankle sprain and missed four games. In general a player could miss 2-6 weeks with the injury depending on the severity.

Bryant was in obvious pain after he got tangled up with Orlando Scandrick. He attempted to walk off by himself but needed to be helped by athletic trainers Jim Maurer and Britt Brown.

At the rookie mini-camp after the draft, Bryant suffered a minor ankle injury that kept him out of running post-practice sprints. He also missed part of the organized team activities with a strained hamstring.

If anyone saw the video it wasn't Dez's fault. Just one of those weird things where CB falls the wrong way on him. He will be fine in a couple weeks.

Also, anyone who calls this some sort of "karma" because of the nonsense with the shoulderpads, please make yourself known so I can call you a fucking moron and put you on ignore for the entire NFL season.

I wonder if Roy told Dez to carry himself off the field when he was injured.
