No. Chris Rix was awful. Xavier Lee, while I thought would be awesome couldn't EVER learn the playbook and Weatherford got benched as a red shirt senior in favor of Ponder.
Ponder > Weatherford > Rix > LeeComment

Originally posted by SonicRicanoh ok, my bad, forgot about that one. But still, trying to claim that Pat White is the most accomplished QB in college football history is silly. If I had to choose I'd say it's between Colt Brennan and.... hmm.... I don't know.... Steve Young? Eric Crouch? Carson Palmer? I can't really think of anyone who's on Brennan's level as a college QB.
Colt Brennan is dog shit btw, couldn't even convince his semi-retarded coach Jim Zorn, that he was better then Jason Campbell. LOL.Comment

And Tom Savage? Come the fuck on now.Comment

Jerrod Johnson sucks?
SonicRican, have you ever seen Johnson play? If not, just admit it. If you have, name the game.Comment

The problem with threads like this is everyone feels the need to participate.
If you haven't seen enough of these guys play, don't make a fucking list, because you'll look like a douche. I haven't watched a four quarter game of most of these guys, so I wouldn't attempt to piece together some shitty list.Comment

Rutgers fan POV
Savage is a great QB but nowhere near top ten in the country. i might rank him in the top 20 but he would be near the bottom of that list as well. this must just be his New Jersey talking but then again i dont really know where this guy's head is at because its so far down on Colt Brennan's dick.Comment

Originally posted by SonicRicanYou guys want to hype up dual threat QBs like Jordan Jefferson, Terrelle Pryor, Jerrod Johnson, Jacory Harris, but none of them are that good.
the best QBs are the ones like Andrew Luck, Colt Brennan, Charlie Whitehurst, Brodie Croyle, Chase Daniel, Graham Harrell. THOSE dudes can play.

Originally posted by SonicRicanYes a couple of times, but most notably against Texas last season. They could have WON the game, but Johnson was missing receivers, not scrambling like he's capable of, just completely taking Texas A&M out of the game and giving Texas a clear path to the national championship game.
Johnson went 26/33 (78.8%) for 342 yards, 4 TD's and 1 INT and had a QB rating of 199.79 against the #10 pass efficiency defense in America, and ran 14 times for 97 yards as well (Texas had the nation's #1 rush defense). I hadn't seen much of him before that but I was absolutely blown away by his play and it made me watch his earlier games, kid is clearly a stud.
His coach was right, even as a freshman he was the best QB in college football.Comment

Originally posted by SonicRicanWell my counter argument would be better if I could remember the game clearly, but I remember there was one point early in the game where A&M could have gone up by 14 and they blew it. I forget if it was Johnson's fault, but I know he did make a critical mistake. The Great Ones don't make ANY mistakes in those kind of big games. 0 INTS! That's why he'll never be there because he folds in big games and isn't able to even beat Texas.
ill ask you one more time nicely to stop making a fool of yourself.Comment
