    Hawks looking to trade Housh

    From NFL.com

By Jason La Canfora NFL Network

The Seattle Seahawks like their emerging wide receivers and have made it know that veteran T.J. Houshmandzadeh, a top free-agent signing by their prior regime in 2009, is available, league sources said Thursday.

The market for Houshmandzadeh is very limited, according to the sources, for the same reason the Seahawks are looking to move him -- his salary. Houshmandzadeh is guaranteed to earn more than $7 million this season and is coming off an unproductive year. Executives with teams that are in the market for receivers say they have no interest in taking on Houshmandzadeh's contract.

Mike Williams, a former first-round draft pick with the Detroit Lions, has played himself into the picture in Seattle after two years away from football, NFL.com's Steve Wyche reports. Former Notre Dame receiver Golden Tate was drafted by the Seahawks in the second round of April's draft. And 27-year-old Brandon Jones signed with the team Aug. 22, four days after being released by the San Francisco 49ers.
    Damn homie.......

I think the Pats, Bengals, or even the Vikings might jump on this.

I forgot all about the Bears, he'd make Cutler look a whole better at least. If they were to pick him up I dont think it'll make too much difference.

Rumor is we want to do this so we can sign and trade for Vincent Jackson.

And all I know is Vincent Jackson > Housh.

No way Patriots jump on this.
They have Welker and Moss and no chance Belichick takes on that contract.
IMO, a sleeper team for Housh should be Houston. He'd be a nice #2 for Johnson.

Housh is running into that same problem as Peerless Price ran into when Atlanta gave him a big contract. Housh is not a #1 WR, neither was Price.

It would be smart of the Jags to snag Housh, he would be a great compliment to Sims-Walker. Although the Bears and Vikings are probably the two places he will end up. Great for the Lions, another receiver to blow by Eric King and company.

IMO, St. Louis going after him is a mistake.
Housh is a good WR, but the Rams have to build from the ground up, overpaying for Housh is a mistake.
Housh needs to get into a program where the team is a contender and he's the #2 or #3 WR he's supposed to be.
St. Louis and teams like that need to take the Ricky Bobby approach: "First or last"

Am I the only one shocked by the line about Mike Williams playing himself into the picture?

Ive always liked Brandon Jones, nice pickup for Seattle, he'd be a great 3rd guy. he was a below average fan favorite as the oft injured titans number 1.
