Didn't the deadline for his suspension reduction passed already? The deal was if he had been dealt 2 weeks ago, his suspension would drop to 4 weeks.
I don't think the Pats make a single move to grab another WR. They did alright w/o Moss for a long time. Who the hell did they have at WR then?

Doubt it. They like Brandon Tate a lot, moving Moss allows him to get a lot more looks in the Patriots offenseOriginally posted by ram29jacksonI already said months ago that Seattle wasn't winning any SBComment

It would be quite the downgrade to go from Moss to Jackson. Plus Jackson isn't really worth the trouble.Comment

They have plenty of draft picks to trade for him but I think NE is doing the right thing and stockpiling draft picks to help build a young talented team.

Because he's had 2 decent seasons?
Moss 2009:
83 catches, 1264 yards, 13 TDs.
Jacksons 2009:
68 catches, 1167 yards, 9 TDs.
Moss 2008:
68 catches, 1008 yards, 11 TDs.
Jacksons 2008:
59 catches, 1098 yards, 7 TDs.
Jackson has had 2 seasons over 1000 yards in his entire career, and they were barely over 1000. He's never caught 10 TDs.
Moss has had 3 seasons in a row over 1,000 yards and 10 TDs.
Vincent Jackson is 6'5", can run, and has had Phillip Rivers throwing to him his entire career. Why is he barely a borderline 1000 yard receiver?
He's nothing special. Every good QB in this league turns their number 1 WR into a 1000 yard / 8 TD guy.Comment

I just love how people are so quick to say "he's lost a step," "he's fallen off," "he's not the same anymore."
They've been saying it about Thomas Jones for 4 years now, who has rushed for over 1000 yards and 10 TDs every season since 2005, and had his best year ever just last year at the age of 31.
Look at LT right now.
Look at Favre last year.
Look at Tony Gonzalez. Who is 1 year older than Moss.
Look at Reggie Wayne, who is only 1 year younger than Moss.
Hell, look what TO did just last week, 4 years older than Moss.
Jerry Rice caught 92 passes for 1211 yards and 7 TDs in his 16th season, Moss is in his 12th.
Special players are special for a reason. They will all slow down over time, but they have put together hall of fame careers because they rely on more than just physical talent. And I would never underestimate these types of players when they are motivated and have something to play for. Especially when they are in the right system.
Moss is one of the few receivers in the history of NFL that immediately makes his quarterback better than he actually is. And I think the only thing that can make Moss better than he actually is, is a guy like Adrian Peterson.
I'm trying to remember, has Moss ever even played with a decent halfback? Just checked, Robert Smith played his last 4 seasons with Moss' first 2.Comment
