But Merriman wanted to play for the Ravens mainly because he is from the Baltimore area and wanted to end his career near home.

Might want to read what I said again because you must have missed where I said "if he clears waivers". Bills claimed him, so he didn't "clear waivers".

Around these parts, that's basically what we call a "typical Ravens fan." They believe they are going to get everyone, because everyone wants to come and play for such a storied franchise.

Although he is no where near his old form, who really thought Merriman was going to clear waivers, let alone make it past the first 5-8 teams on the waiver claim list???

P.S. I never heard one sports caster from a Baltimore news station, or a national media person, say he would be in Baltimore.

Several places including the Ravens own website said the Ravens were interested, Adam Schefter said Ravens were interested as did Jay Glazer, and the idiots from here like Viviano and Cunningham also said we were interested, but this is your MO when it comes to the Ravens so it's not surprising you'd try to take a jab at us.

a) He was busted
b) The Titans blew his knee up

I wouldn't put money on him making much of an impact, maybe if he sits out for a little white and gets a chance to fully recover he could do ok
