I'd like to now when they polled the players. Timing is everything here. Mark Sanchez #3? Eli Manning top 5? Please. Gimme a break. And for the people who said Revis, don't know football.

I don't even think that Revis is the best CB in the league.

            I love it.

All the guy has done in 4 years is win games and put up ridiculous numbers behind one of the worst offensive lines in the league with a coordinator who has no idea how to use the running game and he continues to be "overrated", in spite of the fact that every non-Cowboy player, fan, analyst and "expert" goes out of their way to say how much he sucks.

He's won a total..... of 1 playoff game. That's definitely all-world right there.

Even Mark Sanchez won 2 last year.

Sorry - I know you love Romo as much as I love my boy Hasselbeck, but yes.. Tony Romo is very overrated. If he plays ANYWHERE but Dallas, he's like a Matt Schaub .. i.e. nice numbers but not much else to show for it.

Wrong. If he plays anywhere else but Dallas he will get the treatment like Aaron Rodgers is getting.

You've known me for a while. I know you think I'm an absolute homer, but you've seen many, numerous times in the past that when I felt any player or coach on the team warranted criticism for not getting the job done, I doled it out.

                        That includes Tony Romo.

Yet, we've been over this how many times? It's nice and fun to blame him for those losses, but as I've seen it, he's not to blame for those. I'm not going to go into it again, because we've done it so often but you have to know my stance on this by now. Why would that change? He's been set up to fail numerous times by his coach and "GM" and still usually has his team in position to win.

There are few QB's in the league who could do the things he's done in the atmosphere he's come up in. I can count them on one hand. Matt Schaub doesn't even have a winning record as a starter. So as your idol would say

To sort of agree with Rayman, if Eli keeps his mouth shut and goes to San Diego...no fucking way he's a Super Bowl MVP or winner. That organization is a mess.

If the Giants end up with Big Ben (they had no interest in Rivers), they may win a Super Bowl or two.

im a Giants fan and completely agree with Rayman. this is probably the thing that annoys me the most about football discussion. people put all the blame of a bad team on the quarterback. at the end of the day, its a team game. Romo has done what he can to put his team in a position to win even with the lack of a running game. poor defense and stupid penalties are more of the problem.

ive said this numerous times. if great quarterback play translates into championships, then the Colts would have won every Super Bowl in the last decade. however look at this.

                              2000 - Ravens - great defense
                              2001, 2003, 2004 - Patriots - great defense
                              2002 - Buccaneers - great defense
                              2005, 2008 - Steelers - great defense
2006 - Colts - best their defense ever played in the playoffs
                              2007 - Giants - great defense
2009 - Saints - great at forcing turnovers

i rest my case. the Cowboys' misfortune is not because Romo is overrated.

Overrated and talented are two different things. I think Romo is a fine QB.. I'd take him over a lot of guys.. but he gets as much/more pub than anyone - hence why he is overrated.

It comes with the star emblem on the helmet though. Much like wearing Yankee pinstripes or Laker purple and gold.

BTW.. it's not like the Cowboys defense is the 2010 Texans either. They were a Top 10 unit last season. Top 10 in 2008. Top 10 in 2007. 13th overall in 2006. Top 10 in 2005. Lots of guys would win more games with that support.
