I gotcha. I feel the same way. I can't even homer it up because the fact of the matter is that the Raiders have lost 11 or more games for 8 years in a row and it has put a dent in my fanhood. I don't think I'll ever be able to get cocky about the Raiders after this stretch of failure. It's been really humbling.

Good news for Oakland and San Diego fans..

Kansas City quarterback Matt Cassel underwent laparoscopic surgery on his appendix Wednesday morning.

Matt Cassell has an appendectomy. Should miss at least a couple of weeks

I was wondering why they signed Tyler Palko, now I know.

The Chiefs said the procedure was a success and they expected Cassel to return to work this week.

I like this part of the article more..

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger underwent an appendectomy four days before the 2006 season opener. He returned to play in a Week 2 game -- 15 days after the surgery -- and his passer ratings in that and the following contest -- 38.7 and 30.7 -- were among the six worst of his career.

While the Chiefs didn't release any details of Cassel's operation, the American College of Surgeons website advises patients who have had a minimally invasive appendectomy not to "lift or participate in strenuous activity for three to five days" after the procedure.

And their other quarterback, Brodie Croyle, is 0-9 as a starter :drunk:

This has been such a wacky football season for me. USC loses their most games since 2001, loses the Jeweled Shillelagh for the first time sicne 2001... Meanwhile, Oakland has their longest win streak since 2001 and sweeps SD for the first time since 2001.

They've been around. All 2 of them. There was another too a while back, GoChiefs was his name I think, but he disappeared when things started to get really bad in KC.

I expect more to pop up soon, and I'd expect more Raiders fans to start showing up as well they started winning more. Just the way it is.

Anyway, I don't want Cassel to be hurt. I want the Raiders to play the Chiefs when they're at full strength. That way, it won't look as bad if we lose, and if we win they won't have an excuse.

LOL at where did all of the Chiefs fans come from. There have never been a lot of us and I have been around a long time.

Cassel or no Cassel, thankfully the Chargers game isn't as important as it once was.

I honestly hope it comes down to Chiefs/Raiders for the division on the last week of the season. Arrowhead will be fucking insane, and I will be there.

LMAO @ the last place team in the AFC West at 3-9 and trying to laugh at another team. Check yourself dumb shit.

if im not mistaken, Oakland needs to win all three games and Kansas needs to lose the two and win one in order for the last game to essential be a AFC West Division Title Game.

that would be a fucking sick game if it pans out that way

If the Raiders go 2-1 in 3 games they'll be 8-7 and if the Chiefs go 1-2 in those three games they'll be 9-6. Then if the Raiders win that final game they win the division because the Raiders are 4-0 in the division right now and would have a better divison record than the Chiefs (who are 2-2 right now) and would also be 2-0 in the head to head.

It's still very much wide open. Chiefs don't play half as well on the road as they do it home. I actually think SD and St. Louis can both beat the Chiefs, especially if Cassel is out or playing hurt. They should beat the titans and the showdown will be set.

I really believe Oakland can beat jax and Indy. Jax has a weak pass d but a stout run d so they will be tough but it's possible. Indy is made for us right now with the way our dline has been mauling olines and our run fm vs their run d, both are winnable games just need to come out and play the best football they can play.
