He "allegedly" took money. Not like he drop kicked some infant orphan babies.

If he drops in the draft it's because teams aren't convinced he's going to be able to play out of a pro-style attack, which.. judging by watching him play many times this season - I would agree with.

You're overlooking the stolen laptop and the three counts of academic fraud from his first school. He also once referred to his JUCO stint as a "365 day business trip" which tells me that he's got his priorities out of whack. Whether or not you find his past criminal, it definitely raises a few red flags on his makeup and personality. Kid is "Me-first" and frankly, comes across as spoiled and entitled.

Not writing him off, but he does seem like a mentally fragile individual, one who has had everything handed to him his entire life, and had all his messes cleaned up for him. Could be a disaster in an NFL locker room if challenged by vets and/or a coach.

I don't know if I'd call what Troy Smith is doing, is considered playing QB.

Troy Smith was a different college QB than Cam, VY, or Vick.

If the kid can be put behind a decent veteran for a year or so, I think he'll be good. But if he's forced to start from the beginning, expect him to be arrested with Jamarcus.

That's pretty much a consensus. Pryor ain't that good.

Wow... you gotta be fucking kidding me. I would tell you how stupid this is, but I don't feel like repeating myself anymore.

Just know that Russell was 1st team All-SEC, won the Manning Award and finished 3rd in the nation in passing efficiency.

He has shown he can catch the ball.

IMO Vince was a better passer at this same point in their carrers. I'd like to see Cam for another year though, when coaches have a whole year to gameplan for this dude.

I do like Cam's mechanics though. I don't think he's all that accurate, but his wind up looks better than guys like VY and Pat White. The biggest question is going to be make-up, IMO.

His priority should be to play in the NFL. It seems to me he has his priorities perfectly in line.

                                What's wrong with that?

The kid transferred to another school to get his head on straight and to get back into big time football and achieve a series of goals. Newton dedicating himself to a goal and approaching his time at Blinn with a business like attitude in order to get to where he wanted to go I think is a good thing and a sign of maturity. Not sure how or why that would raise questions about him having priorities out of whack?
