Can Cam Newton be an NFL QB?

The kid transferred to another school to get his head on straight and to get back into big time football and achieve a series of goals.

More like he was facing expulsion because he was on strike 4 and didn't want it to become public. He cited "playing time" as the reason, even though he would've been the starter at Florida in the same amount of time that it took him to make it to Auburn. He would've waited to be the successor to Tebow at Florida had he not been caught breaking the law and the honor code multiple times.


As for the "business trip" quote, in light of news that his father embezzled $200,000 through his church based on the results of that "business trip", don't you think that's a poor choice of words?

Him going to Blinn and in the process getting his head on straight and looking at it as a business trip in order to work towards a goal doesn't really signify an issue of priorities being out of whack to me. It's possible Newton used his experience at Blinn to grow up. Which is fine.

Yeah it was, in hindsight though it was truer than he intended.

Bottom line, the kid has red flags. Any NFL scout worth his salt is going to raise these flags.

Im not comparing him to Tebow, but most of us thought Tim Tebow didnt stand a chance in hell being drafted before the 3rd round. I can see a team taking a flyer on Cam early as well.
