They could go North and South as they stand right now if they really wanted to.

Most of the "Leaders" schools are more south than all the "Legends" schools.

At this point they might as well realign and if they really want Mich-OSU to have a potential Conf Champ match up go North-South from Iowa City.

North: Michigan, Wisconsin, Penn State, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern

South: Ohio State, Nebraska, Iowa, Purdue, Indiana, Illinois

Michigan, Mich St and Penn St as of now have the capability of becoming/are very good programs right now.

Wisconsin over the short term seems like the favorite yeah but Penn State will be very good next season and if Michigan ever gets a clue they will be back.

I think you switched the east and west, but I agree, I think the divisions would just make too much sense. And with these divisions, you do not have to guarantee as many crossover games, because most rivalries would be held within the divisions. I like it, but I'm sure it won't happen.

If the Big Ten wanted to go outside the box with the division names, Heritage and Tradition is what I've been thinking they should use for a while. It's not lulzworthy like Legends and Leaders and it gets the job done from what they're trying to represent with the names.
