    Horrible comparison.

I don't remember white runningbacks being shutout from opportunities to play/compete for runningback positions. The way white people clamor over any white runningback and anoint them as the "great white hope" you better believe any white runningback that has the ability would be given any and every opportunity to compete. Who was the last white runningback that actually had the ability, but wasn't given an opportunity and that player simply faded away?

It's dumb, it's not fixing the real problem.

Hire the right person for the jobs, and if you're whole staff turns out to being white males (which it will be cause we're fucking awesome) then get better at whatever the fuck it is you do.

Stop crying foul over race just to get what you want and to make up for your lacking skills. That's the root issue here. The lazy races like blacks and latinos just don't want to earn the skills they need, they just want it handed to them or want to steal jobs from the whites.

All silly racism aside, we're fucking humans, period. Stop giving a shit about what skin color has what you stupid fucking society. WE ARE HUMANS NOT WHITE AND BLACK AND BROWN AND YELLOWS. My black cat licks my other black cats ass, but also licks the orange cat's ass too. SEE, it's not fucking rocket science, even a fucking cat can figure this one out.

      What.

Couldn agree more and you said it there exactly - why do I have to interview a coach then if I dont think he has the ability to coach/run my team

That's actually a good point. IMO the intention of the RR was to get minorities who are qualified to be NFL head coaches; however, many teams (owned and operated by white people ) have made a mockery of the spirit of the rule by simply interviewing any minority that is on staff or flying in the "token" minority for an interview after they've already decided on a candidate.

Right, Then the RR should apply if you feel that a coach doesnt have the ability to run your team. I wouldnt hire Bengals coach or Singletary now if you paid their salaries. I think the Cowboys and Minnesota are going to kick themselves taking Garret and Frazier. Do they deserve a shot? Sure but id be waiting for other candidates out there

In my opinion, Rivera is the only guy out there that is a minority worth looking at. But Im sure some will disagree.

Oh and if some black people actually worked and had money maybe they could own a team some day and fire and hire who they want

Something no-one has mentioned is, how does the rule define a minority? Is a person who had a black grandfather but is physically white themselves classed as a minority? What about an Italian American?

if i have a company i want the best people for the job. not the 3rd or 4th best person because some law or rules says thats who i have to hire.
once again dipshit, the rule doesnt say shit about hiring a minority. all you have to do is interview one, and if the owner is a racist idiot, much like you, then he will use it as a token and interview someone he has no intention of hiring. the pointis only to expand the search outside or normal parameters, or as ralwa put; break down the good ole boy network.

what you are describing is affirmative action, which is a product of our great liberal government, not the nfl.

white owners dont interview white coaches they arent interested in hiring. So why bother interviewing a black coach you arent interested in hiring.

all this does is give Mike Singletary some free trips around the country for a little sight seeing.

No that'd be racist because it's for whites.

I was just asking if they'd be classed as a minority. Presumably not based on that.

So a follow up question, does the rule specifically apply only to blacks, latinos and asians?

actually it only applies to blacks because according to jesse jackson the black man is the only man ever oppressed by whitey.
