Harbaugh will be one of the highest paid coaches, somewhere north of 6.5 million, south of 7.5 million per year. Only $8 million if they really need to in order to make him sign the contract.

Unless I hear Hugh Jackson suddenly being interviewed by Miami, I'd buckle up for Sparano.

Stephen Ross should have given Cowher what he wanted, which was EVERYONE gets fired + the cash.

Now, they'll overpay for Harbaugh, who, I LOVE as a coach, but damn, you are gonna make him the highest paid coach in the league and he ain't done anything in it yet. Seems silly.

NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora suggests Harbaugh's decision could still come down to Standford and the 49ers, allowing him to stay in the Bay Area.
