Are you high? For reals? Both play for run-heavy offenses, but at least Flacco's teams have won some playoff games. When Matt Ryan wins a playoff game, let me know.

Wins are a team stat though.

And Flacco has pretty much had the benefit of a top 5 defense and top 5 rushing attack on his side his whole career.

At one point during the playoffs he had the longest active streak of passes thrown without a TD. He managed to break it during that Chiefs game...clap for him.

He might be top 10 might not be, whatever. He's ok nothing great.

Is this really anything to brag or feel good about though?

So the Falcons get bounced first game, Ravens wait until the second. End of the season neither gets a ring.

Flacco led his team to a blowout playoff win (on the road), and narrowly lost a road playoff game to the leagues #1 defense.

I don't know what any of this means, other than the idea of Josh Freeman being a top 10 QB is pretty laughable.
Seems like you're basing these guys off a select few games. Freeman and Vick clearly outperformed Flacco this year. Freeman doing more with less while being in his first full year is extremely impressive, more impressive than what Flacco accomplished IMO.

That's my point. The Flacco bashing in this thread is based on today's game, I was demonstrating the same type of analysis for the others.

Flacco has proven himself for three years, with his numbers improving every year. Wake me up when Freeman makes the playoffs once, let alone wins multiple road playoff games.

Where is Bmore saying that they have a great WR corps now? Boldin with a dropped TD pass and Housh with a dropped first down on 4th and long. Can't pin it all on Flacco, although the QB will always get the majority of the blame (see Romo.)

Not to mention a bullshit holding call on the punt return TD.

I'm not really understanding the Flacco hate going on based on this game. I'm having trouble remembering all of the great moments of the Kyle Boller era, so maybe it's just me.

Flacco is a very good QB. The Ravens are one of three teams that have been in the playoffs each of the past three years. The Ravens are the only team that has won at least one playoff game in each of the past three years. I'll take that any day over not being there at all, or losing in the first round. How is it Flacco's fault that Boldin dropped a pass that hit him right between the numbers, that would have been the go ahead TD and could have won the game?

That is the difference, not Flacco being bad. Roethlisberger has no-name WRs that make crucial catches and the Ravens two big pickups both came up short when it mattered. Not on Flacco.

Trust me, no level headed Ravens fans are blaming Flacco or calling him a bad QB for what happened yesterday. Who really gives a shit where a Steeler fan rates him?

By that logic the Ravens should have always been in the playoffs and winning lots of games with Kyle Boller at QB, because they generally had a top ground game and top defense during his tenure. Yet they never made the playoffs with him as their starting QB.

what i wanna know is who was actually ranking Flacco in their top 10.

i dont think he played that bad yesterday, but i didnt have him near my top 10 in the first place.

no it is based onhis career thus far. i have to endure arguements from the likes of bmore that flacco is in the same class as big ben and rivers.

the holding call was legit, you should have watched the replay. the personal fould on hines ward on the steelers first play on offense was bullshit.

also, anyone who thinks matt ryan is a top ten qb needs to get a grip.

So Flacco's saving grace is that he's better than Kyle Boller? Ok props to him for that.

I'm not saying he's on Boller's level, he's just not as good as nearly any other QB you'd put in the top 10.

And yeah the Ravens make the playoffs with Flacco, where he completes 53% of his passes, has about twice as many INTs as TDs, and averages 150 yards a game. SMH.

When Ravens win in the playoffs it's usually because they force a ton of turnovers or shut the other team's offense down. Flacco aint really out there doing shit. Ravens have never won a playoff game with Flacco where the other team scored over 14 points.

Hes only 24 in his 3rd year and has time to improve, but for now it is what it is.
