And this is why so many ex-football players have dementia at age 40.

Yeah, comparing a concussion to a leg injury is just stupid. If you play with a concussion you're a fucking moron. Nothing tough or manly about it.
A knee injury, sure you can justify with cortisone/"grit" or whatever barbaric ideal you want to live up to, but head trauma is a no-go.Comment

Jeremy Roenick (a true Chicago Sports legend, before Rush's fandom, google him if you need to) = more of a football player than Jay Cutlerz
I've played hundreds of games w/ a tear. In that big a game u don't bail that easy & when u do at least cheer & help your teammates!Comment

I find it ironic that Wilbon is saying "we never wisely trade for a Drew Brees" when he likely thought that was what his team was doing when we traded for Cutler. I remember him gushing at the seems when the trade went down, saying we should've drafted every draft pick we had to get a legit franchise QB. Its easy to talk all that garbage when you're angry after the game and in hindsight, while ignoring how you felt when the trade actually went down.Comment

Wilbon's article was "meh". Never heard any stories about his Chciago teammates having issues with him.Comment
