I don't really get how some of you can just ignore Freemans stats from this past year because "they were against shitty teams", but then bring up other team/player stats from the rest of the Bucs and use them in your argument. You know they played those same "shitty teams" right?

Bucky, what about the Saints games the past 2 years? Week 17 this past year the Saints played their starters all the way through the midway point in the 4th quarter, and when they were taken out the Bucs had a 7 point lead. In 09 late in the year(in N.O. again), the Bucs beat them in OT as well. I know at the time most of the Saints fans and the terrible pessimistic Bucs fans(most of the fan base) said it was because the Saints had nothing to play for, but they still hadn't clinched the number 1 seed yet and they played their starters all the way through the game.

BB's love for Freeman is annoying as fuck (wouldn't be annoying if you did it though ) because he's forcing him down our damn throats. That being said, I think Freeman is a fine quarterback but I'm still taking Sanchez over him for the reasons already stated by people like W2B.

Both teams have second year QB's, second year head coaches, finished top ten in defense, top 10 in rushing, one team won 10 games and barealy missed the playoffs, the other barely made the playoffs as a 6 seed.

Who had the better statistical season collectively on the ground? And they did this having only 1 100 yard rusher in a single game this season. THEY HAVE DEPTH AT RB! They also spread the ball around in the air. They have 4 receivers over 400 yards, 3 over 600 and 1 900 +. The Bucs have 2 over 400, the same 2 over 600 and 1 900 +. We gonna act like depth doesnt play a part in their to rusher being SLIGHTLY our performed by the one another? Their RB had a season comparable to our #2 WR.

I never said the Bucs had more talent, but you act like he did this by himself. Blount was a beast, and he put up a 1,000 season in 7 starts.

Despite these facts Freeman still put up far superior numbers than Sanchez.

Statistically he had a better regular season. Who the fuck is arguing that? I'm saying Sanchez's performance the last 2 years in the playoffs trumps his one good regular season.

In addition to that Sanchez took less sacks in more drop backs, Freeman was the second ranked rushing QB in the league, a lot of those yards came from him escaping sacks and running for his life.

Really, because the number 1 rushing QB had more sacks in less starts. That would be a QB running for his life. If Tampa's OL was that bad, Freeman must be one elusive motherfucker.

Cotchery was their their 4th damn option. Edwards had a season comparable to to Mike Williams but not only was Mike Williams the # 1 option he didnt have a #1 caliber WR on the other side of the ball to take heat off him. He had Winslow and thats it. Jets had Cotchery, Keller, Holmes, Edwards and one of the best receiving RB's in the league in Tomlinson.

And Freeman also has Cadillac out of the backfeild. He had some good receiving stats. Again, stop acting like Freeman didn't have weapons

Nobody outside of Bucs fans could tell you who our #1 WR was. Freeman was the reason we became a good team. Sanchez is a beneficiary of playing on a playoff ready team. He is not the reason for their success.

You keeping harping on what people thought they were going into the season. It turns out their defense improved. Their running game improved. They found a number 1 WR.

QB is an important position, and Freeman played well. I never said he didn't. He just didn't come up as big as Sanchez in big situations.

You telling me if he was put in a situation where he was the guy. No plethora of weapons and offense that shelters him he would do just as well (if you can call it that) let alone out perform it. While Williams did have a good statistical year, both Holmes and Edwards (maybe even Cotchery) are far better... I will give you Winslow, but the TE is more of a blocker than a weapon in the Jets offense...

Other than Holmes, who missed 4 games to start the year in case you forgot, you are out of your fucking mind if you think Edwards and Cotchery are better than Williams

Not to mention having the NFL's best OL rather than a patchwork group of players (who performed so poorly, they fired their OL coach this week)...

They were a top 10 rushing offense. While not as good as the Jets, there were far from a hinderance

Also, since you guys keep bringing up stats, the Jets ranked 22nd in passing offense, 30th in percentage of plays that were pass plays, and Sanchez himself came in at 38th in the all important passer rating statistic...

Freeman came in at #7 overall...
