NFL varies too much year to year to put too much stock into this.

Also does this count divisional opponents' records twice or no?

I agree. NFL changes so much from year to year this carries so little importance.

          Yeah, things change.

After all this isn't the NBA we're talking about.

            The strongest schedule...

Carolina may have a shot a Luck after all.
Although the schedule may be irrelevant : (

Another reason it doesn't matter is because you win your division you're in the playoffs and teams are geneally grouped close to their other divisional rivals since they play nearly the same schedule.

Only exceptions are teams like Carolina who put up awful records last year but played in divisions with three teams who had good records. Carolina has the Falcons (26-6), Saints (22-10) and Bucs (20-12) all counting against them, while they count as (4-28) for their divisional rivals.

I took one look at the Niners schedule and just knew we'd be near the bottom...turns out I was right.

Panthers will be lucky to win 3 games this upcoming season.. that schedule is brutal.. Chiefs schedule is also quite terrible.. If we have a season, I'm thinking 7-9 at best..

poor Panthers cant get a break, unless that break is Andrew Luck of course.
