I never really thought of him as slow, but he does have fumbling problems at times. It is not as if that can't be fixed. I'm not saying he is a first round pick, but at the least he is a third round pick. Which I'm basing what I saw of him when he was healthy during his Freshman year. Boise is the only one where he got a significant amount of carries. All the other games he averaged 5-6 carries that game which is nowhere near enough to get yourself going. Along with him being injured basically all season and splitting carries with two other backs. As I said I'm going off of his Freshman season, when he as healthy majority of the time and was the feature back.
Alabama- 2 touchdowns, 71 yards, 5.5 yards per carry
Nebraska- 107 yards, Touchdown, 5.1 yards per carry
Miami- 150 yards, 2 Touchdowns, 4.4 yards per carry
Georgia Tech- 100 yards, Touchdown, 7.1 yards per carry
Boston College- 159 yards, 8.8 yards per carry, Touchdown
I'm not saying he is going to for sure be a great player, but no one in the third round is. If you didn't have negatives or concerns you wouldn't be getting drafted in the third round. Remember, the draft is now 3 days. First round and then on Friday you have the second and third round where teams will have special pick announcers for the second round.
Having players there for the second and third round is what they want.
