If I were Arizona, I'd offer a 1 and a 3 for Kolb, with the 1 being top-10 protected - meaning if the pick is top 10, the Eagles have to wait till next year ... unless Arizona opts to just give them the pick anyway.

Hell isn't stupid, you moron. It's evil.
If you're gonna use an analogy, say "You're as stupid as Steeljake."

This is ridiculous. What do you base this opinion on? His whopping 7 game resume?

Kolb only lost his starting job this year because he struggled against the eventual World Champs and Mike Vick set the world on fire. Not like he came in against the Panthers and went 1 for 30 with 5 INT.

He's not Peyton Manning or Aaron Rodgers, but he won't suck either. I would take Kevin Kolb over Cam Newton, Blaine Gabbert, Andy Dalton, and Colin Kaepernick in a heartbeat though.. that's for damn sure.

This isn't the NBA Draft Dave.

I think the terminology you're looking for is a conditional 1st round pick, i.e. if Kolb starts x-amount of games, performs a certain way, etc etc.. the pick moves up to a first..

Your first line is terrible for arguments sake. Teams are willing to give first round picks based of his seven game resume. Teams have already decided whether they believe he'll be terrible, great, or somewhere in between.

He struggled to play as well as a starting QB should. He does some things well and I can see the argument for him to turn into a good west coast QB but I believe he's one dimensional in a similar way Matt Cassel is (in that they both don't have success throwing the ball down the field). I don't see him turning out as well though.

I don't approve of the aforementioned nonsense, bolded above.

According to the same author, his completion PCT down the field was 30.77 last year.

It was better than the following players:

                  Peyton Manning
                  Joe Flacco
                  Mark Sanchez
                  Jay Cutler

The latest football news, analysis, and rankings from PFF. Featuring data-driven rankings and stats for NFL, fantasy football, and the NFL Draft.

You also need to take into consideration (which the author did not) that in three of the six games he played in he did not have Desean Jackson, with the last game vs Dallas with a second team offense going against a first team defense on Dallas that went 5-3 in the stretch.

No ... I meant first and third picks.
Nothing conditional, other than the 1st round pick can't be in the top 10.
