We won 6 games last year and finished the season strong. I don't think a 7 to 10 win season is outside the realm of possibility at all.

Since going to the Super Bowl the Raiders have consistently been one of the worst teams in the league. Not as bad as Detroit, but you aren't too far off.

All kidding aside, the Lions D isn't that bad. We have a top 3 defensive line in the league and only got better through the draft and experience. When you have dominant DTs, that can make up for weak LBs, but Levy is a monster MLB who was a beast once he recovered from that groin injury. In the secondary, Delmas is overrated but hes still pretty good. Spievey was moved from CB to SS last year and by the end when he learned it better, he played just as good as Delmas. CB wise I hate Chris Houston and think hes average, but Alphonso Smith played great every game up until he let up that 1 big play and just fell apart mentally and could never recover the rest of the game. If they can fix that and get him tougher he should be fine across from Aso.

This would be a huge addition to their secondary as their front four is top notch now.

Hell last year our offense played pretty damn good I'd assume top 10 and that was with a rotating door at QB and no RB because Best got truf toe on both feet. So what did we do to improve? We got a deep threat WR who not only can help spread the D but actually GETS BRYANT JOHNSON OFF THE TEAM Addition by subtraction. And we added another talented RB who can split carries and keep each other fresh. O shit I forgot to mention we get Stafford back who can actually throw the ball deep. I love Shaun Hill and Stanton but those guys rarely threw over 30 yards limiting Calvin Johnson to what he does best. 2011 is the year of the roar.

Agree with everything. Except the Delmas point.

Delmas is a fucking monster. He was great last season, even though he played through a groin injury THE ENTIRE SEASON.

He is imo the best young safety (along with Nick Collins, Eric Berry, etc) in the game today.

He is going to be 100% along with Levy.

VSN is the only place where I've seen Lions haters.

I think hes overrated simply because he goes for the highlight play too much. If you watch how many tackles he misses because hes flying so fast, you'd be surprised. It has a ton of potential though and will only get better. When we drafted him I was so pissed because had no clue who the hell he was.

I don't think that makes him overrated. This will be only his third year in the NFL, and he never had any real good vets to learn from. Which is another thing Nnamdi would do in Detroit, teach up our young secondary.

I got pissed too, I think all Lions fans were, especially since Malawhatever was still on the board. I'm glad we have him though.

Smith was awful the second half of the season. If they get Asomugha he'll be moved to nickelback where he should be. No chance they demote Houston instead of him. Houston isn't bad.

I agree, Delmas has a ton of talent and another season under his belt will well serve his performance this season.

I called this happening when I first found out he was a free agent. It makes sense if you're not an idiot who automatically assumed something when they see Lions. We're on the verge of breaking out and in serious need of a shutdown corner, with money to spend on an already young team.

If the Lions even go .500 next season....I'll shit myself. They are competitive no doubt, but they're still a losing team. No conceivable reason Aso would want to sign there.

                            Reasons:

                            - Stellar Dline that would make life easier and a chance to work with the best defensive prospect since Reggie White

                            - Team on the verge of breaking through, and if they do, glory would come his way

                            - Great defensive minded coach in Jim "The Fucking Man" Schwartz and great front office with Martin Mayhew

                            - They have as many superbowl rings in the last 20 years as the other rumored top frontrunners for him (Philly, Houston)

You make it seem like Detroit has nothing going for it... Why would he sign a multi-year deal with the Raiders? It's not like they will be winning the Superbowl anytime soon. He is clearly about the dough, and if Detroit offers him it, he will come.
