DE - Julius Peppers - A
Godsend for a team lacking pass rush and talent.
DE - Izzy Idonije - C+
Is a nice enough player, but playing opposite Peppers he should be more dominant. I think the Bears could really be dangerous if they had a set of bookend DEs who could pass rush.
DT - Stephen Paea - C+
Probably a solid pick, but I don't expect anything notable from Paea. Just staying healthy would be good, considering the Bears lack of options at DT.
DT - Matt Toeaina/Harry Melton - D
Should probably be an F, but giving some room for potential. But playing alongside unproven Paea could be a disaster for these two mediocrities.
OLB - Lance Briggs - A-
A very good player who is getting up there in years. Probably has 2-3 productive seasons left.
MLB - Brian Urlacher - A-
I think this will be the last hurrah for Urlacher. Hopefully stays healthy.
OLB - Nick Roach - D-
Another instance in which I hope the Bears have an alternative plan. Was a flop at MLB. Not a complete liability at OLB, but not good, either.
CB - Charles Tillman - B-
Was expected to switch to S, but a lack of quality CBs made him stay at home. Can be beaten in coverage, but had a pretty good showing last year all things considered.
CB - Tim Jennings - D-
Started the year by making big plays against GB. Ended the year by getting burnt to a crisp against GB. Inbetween he gradually became one of the worst starting CBs in the NFL. If the Bears go another year with Jennings, then you know its rebuilding time.
SS - Major Wright - C
Made big plays in the preseason, made bad plays in the regular season. Perhaps a year's experience and full health will make Wright a decent starter.
FS - Chris Harris - C-
A player on the downside, the Bears are hoping to coax one more season out of a guy who has already lost a step and a half.
P - Brad Maynard - D
Quietly had a terrible year in 2010.
