Not buying this story.. Favre's ego is too big to come back again and ride the pine.

Howard Eskin is the last guy I'd go to for a credible source on anything.

Favre will retire unless some contending team loses their QB to injury in the abbreviated training camp/preseason or early on in the regular season. And even then I think more teams would be inclined to turn their offense over to a backup or a veteran FA.

MFer has land in Philly judging from all the times I've seen him reporting from there on ESPN.

There's no way this is happening.

Jay Glazer (via Pro Football Talk) - Despite a report to the contrary, the Eagles are not interested in Brett Favre as a backup to starting quarterback Michael Vick.

Jay Glazer of FOX has reported, citing two unnamed Eagles sources, that the Eagles aren't interested in Favre.

Glazer's precise words were "emphatic no."

I think it would be a good situation for him if he were to come back. All about his ego, can he handle it?

Thank God. That's the last thing the Birds need, an attention-grabbing diva who will distract from the team concept.
