I know Braylon has dropped off quite a bit over the last few years.. but that just seems ridiculous. I would've rather given Edwards 1 million guaranteed then given Roy 2.5 million. More upside there IMO. I guess Edwards locker room rep is very much damaged.

So the 49ers now have 3 of the Top 9 picks from the 2005 draft. I always thought we should've drafted Edwards over Smith.

Mason's had meetings with the titans this week, the team isnt going anywhere this year so if they sign him its purely to try to whip Kenny Britt into shape.

Well he's a good run blocker. I do know this.

I'm sure Kevin Boss is fucking thrilled about the fact that he's moving closer to home, but more than anything the fact that he no longer has to worry about Eli Manning hanging him out to dry every other week and just begging to get laced with yet another concussion.

All joking aside, I feel bad for that dude, he's gonna be worse off than Wayne Chrebet or Don Beebe when he retires if this shit keeps up.

Munch has said he wants a veteran #2 option, not only to perform on the field, but for the reason you mentioned and to mentor the young kids like Williams and Mariani. Jerricho Cotchery is also an option.

Gage and Washington might be on their way out.

Wide Receiver Derrick Mason has decided he will sign with the New York Jets.

                      WOOOOO

                      btw...

Edwards was looking for a long term type deal, he priced himself out of the market...the Jets figured they were going with a cheaper option and someone who fit in with the offense (Bray was pretty vocal about the playcalling in the AFC championship and it seems the FO soured on him, not to mention his off field troubles)...and pretty much ended up with the deal he got.

And with Cotchery, he was injuerd last year and was pretty substandard...had around 400 yards, 2TD's and 6 drops...wasn't all that great but someone will get a nice slot WR...he thinks he's a #2 and I certainly don't believe that

Sad to see Mason move on, but in a way I'm kinda happy.

With the absence of Mase and Heap, it forces Flacco to spread the ball more and I'm all for that. Not to mention Mase is old and slow and couldn't really blow any team up except Pittsburgh.

When you have a team like the Jags starting Jason Hill, I definitely think he has a place somewhere as a #2. At least when some injuries occur he might.

Titans RCB Cortland Finnegan has reportedly "walked out" of training camp due to a contract dispute.
Finnegan, 27, is due $3.3 million in the final year of his rookie deal. The face of the Titans' defense, Finnegan has some leverage if he's angling for a long-term extension; the club is thin behind him and Alterraun Verner at corner. What was already going to be a challenging Titans season could start out ugly if both Finnegan and Chris Johnson miss a majority of camp.

Giants first-round CB Prince Amukamara is out indefinitely after fracturing the fifth metatarsal in his left foot.
The injury will require surgery, putting Amukamara's rookie season in jeopardy. Tackle Will Beatty missed two months with the same injury last season. As the last of the first-round picks to sign, Amukamara had just begun practicing. With nickelback Bruce Johnson (torn Achilles') also out, Aaron Ross is out of the doghouse and into the spotlight in a depleted secondary.
