he did a pretty damn good job handling his business in the playoffs last year. he's the least vomit inducing backup ive seen in a while. this isnt a prediction by any stretch, but, who knows what can happen if he gets a full week of 1st team reps?

I'm not looking past the 2nd Bears/Packers game at all. Still think Staffordchise and his broken thumb have the best shot at punting 16-0 than any other team on the schedule, especially if the Giants run away with their division...

in fact, Go Dolphins, if the Cowboys go away, NYG has nothing really to play for, whereas Woodson has come right out and said they will play hard till their first loss.

Interesting stuff here. I didn't think Palko played bad vs the Pats.. 2 of those interceptions were on tipped balls that he threw slightly behind guys but he looked to be pretty accurate.. Orton definitely has a better deep ball than Cassel and Palko could ever dream of having though..

I am a bit disappointed that the Redskins didn't claim Orton. I mean, what else do we have left to prove? Grossman is a solid backup, but shouldn't start for a team for more than a game or two. Beck is not very good. We don't have a third quarterback, so why not claim Orton? What is the worst that could happen? We lose $3 million (and Snyder has pissed away much more than that) and we let him walk in free agency.

If Orton worked out, you can franchise him for a year and draft a quarterback, or sign him to an extension. Orton is a vertical passer, and that is what the Redskins under Kyle Shanahan want to do. We don't have a good deep passer and adding Orton would have been a good move in my mind. I am surprised that we did not put a claim in.

I think with the Shannahan's they're pretty much gonna have to go out and get a quarterback and play the "he's still developing!" card for a season or two. that is, if the Shannahans come back at all, but I think they've gone too all in with those two to 86 them just yet. Might as well Suck For The Guy Slightly Worse Than Luck.

24/37 for 230 and 3 Ints, two of which should have been caught by Chiefs receivers. Not a bad stat line for a guy that was bounced around practice squads for 5 years and had only taken 13 regular season snaps in his career. Not to mention the Chiefs best offensive threat in Jamaal Charles being out and safety net Tony Moeaki being hurt as well. Did you expect this guy to go out there and torch the Patriots, Blick?

Palko looked like I expected him to look...not bad for Palko, but still shitty.

3 picks is bad any way you slice it. The fact that you are saying two of those should have been caught is idiotic. Those throws were off. I don't know what you were watching. The other INT was the worst decision I've ever seen.

But yeah, let's pat Palko on the head and tell him he did a good job and tried real hard for a guy who hasn't played much...fuck that noise. I'm tired of the Chiefs picking up the scraps of other teams and trying to win with nearly 30 year old QB's that still play like rookies. You know why Palko hasn't gotten much run anywhere? Because he fucking sucks.

I can't wait for the Chiefs to draft a real QB.

The whispers around DC is that he could be gone after this season. I might not be a fan anymore if that happens, as you need to give him at least three. If strides aren't made next season under Shanahan, then he is definitely in trouble, but I think (and hope) he is safe for now.

Still, picking up Orton makes this team worse how? Its another option, and they should have gone for it. There are a few quarterbacks who will go top 10 and I don't think the Redskins, even if Orton plays well, make it out of the top 10.

Three trips to the redzone...six points.

                        Orton's bane.
