John Fox on the Yahoo article... Check out the link to the short vid, Fox sounds pretty confident no one making personnel decisions in the Broncos front office feels the way Mike Silver reported.

When asked about the anonymous source cited in Mike Silver's Yahoo! article, John Fox opined that maybe it was the chef.

"We hold Tim in high regard. I think he's got a bright future in this game. He's playing the hardest position I know in the NFL and maybe all of sports and he is progressing fine. He'll get more opportunities in games as we go.....Tim's doing just fine."

Boomer Esiason opens a can of Hateraid on Tebow today:

"[Tebow] can't play. He can't throw. I'm not here to insult him. [This is always the telltale sign that insults are imminent. -- CC] The reality is he was a great college football player, maybe the greatest college football player of his time. But he's not an NFL quarterback right now. Just because he's God-fearing, and a great person off the field, and was a winner with the team that had the best athletes in college football, doesn't mean his game is going to translate to the NFL.

What Josh McDaniels saw in him God only knows. Maybe God does know — because the rest of us don't."

Joe Montana Defends Timmy T on the Dan Patrick show!

Montana commented on the controversy around Tim Tebow. He thinks that the team shouldn’t worry about changing his throwing style.

“If you change the thing that has made the guy, you take away from his ability to play the game,” Montana said. “If you can throw it accurately and on time, I don’t care what your delivery looks like.”

Montana and Dan talked about the fact that Tebow has more expectations because he was a first-round pick. Montana said that he might have had a longer leash because he was a third-rounder. Montana said it took a year for him to learn what the offense was supposed to do. And Montana said that defenses are even more complex now.

If the Dolphins were smart and wanted to sell out games that didn't involve the Jets, Patsies or Giants, they would grab Tebow in a heartbeat. For a 3rd string QB on a 2nd rate team, it's amazing how A)he gets so much hate, B)his jersey STILL outsells everyone else's (btw, that's NFL wide), and C)people line up to see him.

      I know...he's totally lol worthy.

The Dolphins might be selling out seats if they'd snag him, but they wouldn't be winning games with him.. He's not the answer if they were smart as you'd say they would be to potentially be trading a high draft pick for him.

But he sucks at pro football. No smart team would acquire him.

According to ESPN The Zone 93.1 FM the Broncos have placed QB Tim Tebow on the trade block.

The Broncos recently named Kyle Orton their starter this season and demoted Tebow to 3rd string in the depth chart behind Brady Quinn.

Some members of the Broncos organization even gone to say to Mike Silver of Yahoo! Sports that Tim Tebow is the fourth-best QB in training camp behind Adam Weber who is "flat out better".

Tebow was the Broncos first round pick in the 2010 draft by former head coach Josh McDaniels who is now the OC for the Rams.

LOL, Welcome to yesterday AM...Wow I didn't know it took more than 24 hours to get news to the east coast!

In case you missed it this is what a real credible NFL insider has to say:

"Let's be very clear about this," ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter told 850KOA in a radio interview, "the Denver Broncos are keeping Tim Tebow." As many Bronco fans know, Schefter is the ultimate insider when it comes to the NFL, so you can take his word for it.

            http://www.broncoszone.net/2011/08/s...situation.html
Also here's the head coach John Fox with his thoughts:

"Kyle has had 19 passes, Brady's had 30 and Tim's had nine," Fox said. "So in fairness to Tim, we need to get that total up whether that's this week or next week."

Fox has brushed off the rounds of criticism levied at Tebow in recent days. In particular, he mocked the anonymous quote in a Yahoo! Sports report that said a "highly knowledgeable member of the organization" believed Tebow would be the fourth-string QB in an honest competition.

"It could have been the chef," Fox said of the unnamed source. "He sees the players every day."

lol at bringing up how much hate he gets, then pointing out that his jersey outsells everyone...despite him doing nothing on the field.

The excessive love for him is just as bad, if not worse than the hate.

Broncos' Orton becomes father of baby girl; Tebow likely No. 2 QB Saturday

It was a day of activity surrounding the Broncos' pregame practice today at Dove Valley.

Papa Kyle Orton got a nice hand from the team after coach John Fox announced Orton's wife Bridget gave birth to their first child Thursday. Orton stood in the full-team huddle and gave the name (Olivia Taylor) and vital statistics (7 pounds, 18 inches) for his newborn daughter.

Fox also announced the captains for the preseason game Saturday against the Seattle Seahawks. The offensive captains: Daniel Fells and Knowshon Moreno; defensive captains: Joe Mays and Andre' Goodman; special teams: Britton Colquitt and Wesley Woodyard.

What Fox didn't announce was his No. 2 quarterback for the game against the Seahawks. Big Daddy Orton

All signs point to Tim Tebow coming in ahead of Brady Quinn. Tebow got a few more second-team reps than Quinn as this practice week went along. If Tebow is the first quarterback in, the move could be more about his development than anything regarding his place on the depth chart.

Quinn played so well in the first preseason game at Dallas, he earned the right to become the No. 2 quarterback in the second preseason game against Buffalo. And Quinn was exceptional again vs. the Bills, completing 10-of-16 for 130 yards and a touchdown, while Tebow was only 1-of-2 in limited playing time.

But because Quinn is a veteran and the Broncos already pretty much know what he can do, Tebow likely will get more playing time in the final two preseason games. Additionally, Quinn has thrown 30 passes in the preseason, completing 18-for-250 yards and three touchdowns, while Tebow has attempted only nine passes, completing seven for 101 yards.

Fox said earlier this week he wanted a longer look at Tebow in the final two preseason games.

As a second year player with only three NFL starts, Tebow's development needs game experience. The regular season is for winning, not development so the preseason might be the last time for a while that Tebow gets significant playing time.

                          Tebow's preseason numbers thus far:

                          Passing: 7/9, 101yards, 77.8 comp%, 113.4 QB rating.
                          Rushing: 3att for 22yards.

Why do so many care about a non starter? I'm going to start a Drew Stanton thread or 10.

Really?!?!?! Have you been in the closet the last six years.....

Well the first part of the question is obvious he's one of the best college players to ever play the game and fun to watch. He's also a white Christan, "good ole straight lace" type. Pretty much Captain America except he plays football instead of fighting super villains.* I honestly don't believe in god, just answering the questions here.

Oh ya he's also a white guy that plays like a black man. A lot like Peyton Hillis (Madden 12's Cover Boy ;) )

                              * Hate to say it but white people love to see white men trucking black guys, just sayin... For the record I'm hispanic...

ya and lets not forget about the fact that Josh McDamage drafted him the first round!

He wrote a book about himself and his "LIFE" at age 24.
                              >

And the most astonishing part about the man, the myth, the Legend that is TIM TEBOW, is the fact that he's a born leader/team player that will do what ever it takes to succeed/win.
